In terms of education, both institutes are good, but in terms of placements, KIIT, Bhubaneshwar is better than Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune.

In Bharati Vidyapeeth, most of the MSc. Biotechnology passed candidates are offered marketing jobs in Pharma and Biotech companies. Placement records and exposure in this institute teaching are a bit mediocre.

But, in case of KIIT, around 73% of the students in the college are placed every year. Companies like GE, GSK, Nestle, Biocon, Ramki, M.J Biotech, etc., visit the college campus for placements. The highest salary offered is Rs. 11 LPA, and the average salary offered is Rs. 3 LPA.

If you want good exposure, you can choose KIIT, Bhubaneshwar to study the course.

In terms of Education and Academics, KIIT School of Biotechnology is good. Most of the faculties are PhD scholars. As Biotechnology is a research based field, the university is more inclined towards research than job. In the aspect of placements, KIIT doesn't offer much placements. However, few companies like Nestle, Ramky, GE, Biocon, GSK, Dr. Reddy's etc. recruit few students from Biotechnology. Placement is not upto the mark.  If you are interested in research or PhD in later, then you can surely go for KIIT as this university encourages and helps students to go for research.

If you got CS in the first round counselling then surely you have a good ranking. so now if you do not want that then go for next round of counselling and say "yes" for this. And choose the right one for you.

but one thing I must suggest that you choose any software related stream as you will get so many job opportunities in future.

kiit gives one of the best placement for the students with a good number of salary.

Dear candidate

If a candidate do not get your desired branch in your first round counseling you either wait for second round counseling or do a branch swap but there will only be chance for you to do branch swap only if a student from the branch you wanted to swap withdraw his admission or did not or if there are vacant seats so, there wouldn't be a certain cutoff for it but the chances for branch swap will be less but don't worry if you still want to join for the branch after starting of classes you need to get good cgpa atleast above 9.4 and then you will have to apply for branch sliding only if sets are available in the branch you need and you will have to fill the form for branch chanch or just ask for the form at chinthan building and fill it and submit you will have to apply for it before third semester otherwise it would be too late.

As you want to pursue only CSE branch so it might be difficult as this particular branch is so much in demand. The competition is very high. Although there are many students who meanwhile the counselling join other colleges. So if there is any vacancy left then there are chances that you might get.

If you did not get your desired branch in first round counselling,then either you wait for second round counselling or branch sliding process(if anyone does not join KIIT,then one will be allotted his/her branch).Generally for CSE,the cut-off is nearly around 4k rank in KIITEEE. But don’t worry, if you still want to change branch after commencement of classes,you will still be able to buy securing good CGPA in first year(atleast 9.4 or above).

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, formerly KIIT University, is a private institute deemed to be university located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is DCI and INC approved and NAAC accredited grade A college which was established in the year 2002.

It offers UG, PG and Research programs in various disciplines through its different schools. The admission to B.Tech/ BBA/ B.Sc/ Bachelor of Design/ BA-LL.B/ BBA-LL.B/ B.Sc-LL.B/ B.Arch/ B.Sc (Nursing) & BFTP programs is granted on the basis of score in KITEE followed by counselling. It also offers scholarship to needy and meritorious students. The minimum eligibility criteria for B.Tech is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with 60% marks in aggregate.

Well, it depends on the vacant seats left. However, it is possible that you may get chance of second round as this is the motto of counseling rounds. To add on, probably you will not get seats which you might get in first round (seats must have been alloted to the students)
