I think KIIT would be a better choice if you are getting a seat in it. CSE is wel reputed for KIIT as far as i know you shoud go for KIIT.

All the Best!!

You must get all the branches except CSE.THere is also very less chance of getting ECE and mech engg.

Hello Soumyadeep,

Look, Being an alumna of the same college, I will try to give you an honest review and a broad perspective of all factors.Considering you rank firstly you can easily get CSE.

The education system KIIT is a bit strict for CSE students, however overall you will definitely find some leniency. Teachers are well experienced and teaching style of most of the teachers are supportive and informative if you attend classes attentively. By the end of the semester, you are going to need 75% attendance to appear for the end semester exam. So you are definitely going to get a lot of opportunity in your field to show your talent and learn from it such as professional training, workshops, fest competition etc.

The infrastructure of CSE department is also quite impressive, hostels are exactly in front of the department, so you won't need to wake up one or two hours earlier to get ready for the classes. Labs are also in a quite good condition. So whatever you are going to pay as Course fee, It will be worth it. As they provide quite good facilities. Classes have centralised AC, Libraries are open for 24*7.

Now most important thing, Placements. Placements are the reason why most of us join any college. Considering the placements of last few years. Placements of CSE, IT department is good. For branches like Mech, Civil, Electrical its worse. Most of the companies which visit KIIT are from CSE or IT background. Average package these companies provides is 3.5 lakh per annum.

In end, I would say that If you join here you will definitely enjoy your four years of your college life here. Still, you need to perform better in studies to get placements in good companies, Because CGPA does matter for freshers. Otherwise, if you are lucky you can still get a job.

Hope you find this information useful. Have a great future ahead.

Biotechnology is a highly interdisciplinary field that combines biological sciences with engineering technologies to manipulate living organisms and biological systems to produce products that advances healthcare, medicine, agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals and environment control. Biotechnology can be classified into two broad categories: R&D in Biological Sciences and Industrial Processes. The biological sciences aspect deals with research and development in areas such as Microbiology, Cell biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology etc. for understanding the occurrence and treatment of diseases, development of agriculture, food production, protection of the environment and many more. Most of the R&D work in biological sciences is carried out in the laboratory. The industrial processes aspect deals with the production of drugs, vaccines, biofuels and pharmaceuticals on an industrial scale using biochemical processes and techniques.

Dear Rajesh,

sorry to say this. It is difficult to get Mechanical Engineering with your rank. The previous year's cut-off for Mechanical Engineering was 11748. As your rank is much behind the closing rank you can't get it. The prediction was made based on the Previous year's cut-off. It may vary this year.

All the best.

Hi,

If you are okay with investing 4–5 lpa and end up with a job of 1–2 lpa you can join the core branches (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical) here with a 50% chance that you may not get placed. If you are among the luckiest ones in your branch you may get placed with mass recruiters (around 3 lpa).

As per the analyzing report of Careers360 KIIT has AAAA rating which means good & VIIT has AAA+ rating which means good. College Infrastructure

KIIT has pretty much anything and evrything a student can ask for in terms of the infrastructure, there are enough sports facilities, good number of gardens and just greenery for someone who likes to be in the nature. The academic buildings are all equipped with air conditioning due to how hot it gets in bhubaneswar, the laboratories are well maintained some of the desktops in the computer labs are dated but they're currently being updated. All in all its got evrything you'll ever need but sometimes it can be a bit too crowded as some of the extra curricular related things are spread accross the campus and some might be too far from you therefore there ends up being huge crowds in a certain area.

Till now I am having a very good college life

College Infrastructure

KIIT is well known for it's infrastructure and facilities. Starting from the hostels, we have well working air conditioners centralized ac in mess and the rooms are spacious aswell and classes having smart boards, ac and spacious
