According to the NIT Surathkal to get admission in Computer Science branch eligibility criteria minimum 75% is required. so I think It's not possible to get admission in computer science branch NIT Surathkal. You can try to admit another branch or try another institution.

or you have any question's you can ask.

best of luck for your upcoming future.

Hello,

As you want to do Mtech, so overall all the mentioned colleges are good. But comparing the quality NIT surathkal would be at top among these three. Although there is IIT but IIT jodhpur is not as good as NIT surathkal. Placements are also very good here.

All the best.

Hii Aspirant,

At 73 percentile your rank would be around 2,48,742.

Even with SC category you will not get any NIT college. Even with category you would need atleast 99 percentile, to even get lower branches in lower NITs at later rounds.

You still have one chance with you , give your best and improve your percentile .

Hope my answer helps

Hi,
This depends whether you are from Karnataka or another state.
If you are from Karnataka then you are eligible to apply under HOME STATE QUOTA which has easier cutoffs.
If you are not from Karnataka then you have to apply under OUTSIDE STATE QUOTA which has tougher cutoffs.
You can check the previous year cut off https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-surathkal here.
According to your marks you can get admission in this college.
Best of luck

Hello,

Your expected overall rank can be calculated by the formula (100-your total percentile)*112679/100 where 112679 is the total number of candidates appeared in JEE Main January Session paper 2. So if we calculate your expected overall rank will be around 1757. You have not mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category based on 2019 cut off you may have chances of getting seat in the following institutes

  • VNIT, Nagpur
  • NIT, Rourkela
  • NIT, Raipur
  • NIT, Hamirpur
  • MNIT, Jaipur
  • MANIT, Bhopal
  • NIT, Patna
  • BIT, Mersa, Ranchi
  • SOP, Bhopal
  • SOP, Vijayawada

However, cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease slightly depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of seats available etc. And it is difficult to predict your marks because percentile does not remain the same for a given mark because percentile is the percentage of candidates who score less or equal than you. Your marks might be in between 300-350. This is just an estimation your actual marks may change.

Yes, Congratulations...I think you will have surely a opportunity to join in NIT's or you can try to get into north east NIT's as they provide more number of seats you will surely get admission there....

Good luck

See your score in jan jee mains is good and you also have SC category so you will definitely get your dream college with your dream branch
Hope this help you

Hello,
With this percentile in JEE mains, your open category rank would be more than 200000. With this rank, even with your PWD category, you have no chances of getting a seat in the NITs mentioned by you. But you might get some lower branches in the some of the colleges such as NIT Mizoram, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Srinagar. You can check out the previous year cutoffs for various branches at various NITs here https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches/amp

Also you can go for some top private engineering colleges in India which accept JEE mains score. They also conduct their own entrance exams which are very easy.

Hope it helps

College Infrastructure

Im a First Year Student at NIT Surathkal persuing Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and the infrastructure is great other than their sports complex is not so good, all of the sports facilities are cramped in one place

Life at NITK

College Infrastructure

Classrooms and sports centres are great. Infrastructure available on need basis. Wi-Fi is great but not available at good speeds at some hostels. There is CIDS and CRF that are having many projects. There are two libraries one of which is open upto 12 midnight on normal days.

Good experience.

The college had a big name already and it lived by it. It provided a campus considering the comfort of the students incorporating all the necessary facilities like the labs for the science and libraries.
