So both the NIT's ECE branch is good with excellent teaching staff and placement.Now it depends on your interest in which city and area you are interested in.

Food processing engineering is about processing into food from raw materials. It is 4 year course. Even after completion of undergraduate course you can certainly find many jobs such as quality control executive., Production manager., Product development executive etc.,

2. Master of technology in processing and food engineering

3. Master of technology in food and nutrition

4. Master of technology in food safety and standards etc.

Average package of Nit Rourkela for ECE students is approximate 10,60,000 INR this is the average package of 2020 and you know that still placements are ongoing so in future data may be vary according to the placement and packages. This is the data of only ECE students none other than this branch.

The Highest Package of CSE student in NIT Rourkela is 39.2 Lakhs Per Anum, Total number of companies visited in 2019 are around 215 and the maximum number of placements got to Btech-Cse. Number of jobs offered are around 1020.

Top Companies are ABB, Accenture, Axis Bank, Airtel, Amazon, Deloitte, Infosys, IBM, Intel, Essar, Capgemini etc.

A rank of 70 is a good one to get seat in the nit or iiit colleges with reservations. Since you have mentioned that you belong to the sc-pwd category you may have a chance of getting into some good nits though we cannot say for sure that you will be guaranteed a seat at mechanical engineering due to the high demand nature of the course.

There are some newer NITs where you would have a chance at getting mechanical engineering such as NIT Pondicherry or NIT Andhra Pradesh. I suggest you to apply for state colleges or any other private institutions. There are pretty many good private institutions where you can apply. Here are few good private institutions

Both are good colleges as it requires a good jee mains score to get admission in these colleges but according to my opinion you should go for cse from nit  as it is more better in comparison.

If the above mentioned rank is CRL, considering 2019 cut off in round 7 you may have chances of getting seat in the following NIT, Rourkela under other state category

• Biotechnology
• Ceramic Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Civil engineering
• MME
• Mining Engineering
• Industrial Design

Cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc.

But according to your score it very difficult to get any nit or State governments college you can try for some good private colleges like vit SRM or Thapar and Chandigarh University

According to your rank and category their might be a chance to get the college and branch which you want. But in colleges state quota is also available so it also matters that from which state you belongs to. But you have to go for the counseling till the last round to get the college of your choice.
