NIT Warangal Chemical

Take this if you enjoyed Chemistry and Mathematics back in school and jee days. Being located near Hyderbad and Southern Industrial Belt, you dont quite need to worry about placements. Chemical Engineering is a broad field and enables you to shift to Process Development, FMCG, Operations, Manufacturing as well as Pharmaceutical careers later in future.

NIT Trichy Metallurgy

Choose this if you want to study in the best NIT of the Country, and at the same time you liked all of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics back in school.

Material Science and Metallurgy is both the oldest and at the same time the newest branch of Engineering. There is huge scope of research and development in Material Science in future and tbh curriculum is very structured and application oriented. If you have plans of going for a Masters in US or UK later on in future, there is no better option than NIT Trichy Metallurgy. I myself am a budding Metallurgist from IIT Kharagpur ,and trust me, you would like every part of it. Metallurgical Engineering has everything from the Physics and Mechanics you learnt in School Days to the Chemical Kinetics and Thermodynamics which you studied during JEE Preparation.

NIT Trichy Production

Choose Production Engineering at NIT Trichy only if you are interested in developing a career in Non Core/Finance/IT/Analytics Sector. I think you understand what I mean. Its curriculum is quite spread out or in simple terms relaxed and includes advanced courses like Business Analytics, Six Sigma, Production Control and Operations Research. Overall the curriculum is such that, you get a lot of time to yourself to develop and practice Software and Analytical Skills in demand.

At NIT Trichy, Placements are not quite a concern, but do choose the branch which takes you into confidence. At the end, its your career, so decide wisely.

As per last year's data, in Round - 7 as per your rank, it's difficult for you to get admission in NIT Warangal for EWS girl students. But in Special Round - I & II, you have chances to get admission into BioTech, Chemical, CSE, Civil, EEE, Mech and Metallurgical & Materials Engg for Home State quota. For Other state EWS girl students, there is a chance in BioTech, Chemical, Civil, EEE, Mech & Metallurgical & Materials Engg.

If you prefer good branch other than good college , then i suggest you to take computer science in HBTU kanpur. But if you prefer good college over good branch, then i suggest you to go for NIT warangal or MNIT allahabad because both of them are one of the renowned colleges in india.If you still want a job in computer science field you can join chemical engineering in NIT warangal and learn programming languages online.This is also good because you have chances in chemical engineering and computer science if you take up programming courses like in NPTEL,internshala and coursera.

As per the last year records,NIT Surathkal is better than NIT Warangal in terms of placement for CSE and IT students.

Both NIT Warangal and NIT Surathkal has best infrastructure and labs are well equipped.Both has good placement for CSRE and IT branch but there is a difference of packages offered.

NIT Surathkhal - Highest domestic package Rs 49 lakh per annum by Atalisian Bangalore.Placement percent of all branches = 89%.Placement percent of CSE and IT branch = 99.24%

NIT Warangal = Highest domestic package Rs 43 lakh per annum.Placement percent of all branch= 80%.Placement percent of CSE and IT branch = 93.22%.

So you can see by above data that NIT surathkal is better than NIT Warangal for CSE and IT branch.

CSE vs Biotechnology are very debatable options at both good Institutes. My suggestion will be choose something which takes you into confidence, ultimately its your career. If you were good with computers in school days, or even have a bit of interest or knack in Software, ML and Analytics, take CSE at Osmania. Perhaps is you want an off beat or research career and are interested in BioSciences and Technology, NIT Warangal BioTech is a fair place for you to nurture your dreams.
