Hello Dhanaraju ,
First of all congratulations for getting such a good rank in JEE Main.Last year the cutoff for EEE in NIT Surathkal was 1938 in OBC category and the cutoff for EEE in NIT Warangal was 1922 in OBC category .So with a rank of 4772 in OBC category ,it would be quite difficult to get admission in either of those colleges .
Hope it helps and all the best for your future endeavors .

Hii.
Sorry dear but for nit Warangal it is very low percentile even in last branch.
But you can apply for other colleges and if you are in category surely you will get the benefit.
Hope it helps.
Be always motivated.
Thanku

iit Hyderabad , nit warangal , iit Delhi , iit guwahati these all colleges are best for  btech . You can join any college because these colleges are best for btech . These colleges having experienced faculty and staff . Infrastructure is awesome . So all the colleges are better in my opinion .

Hi B Sarayu,

To get into National Institute of Technology, warangal you can either give MAT or CAT exam. College offers 2 years course of MBA program. For Mat exam you need to score at least above 600 or 70 percentile or above in the CAT exam to get an admission in the college. Yes placements are good in the campus. The average package is approx. 8.6 lacs and highest package is approx 39 lacs. The overall campus is good in terms placement, faculty and infrastructure.

Wish you good luck.

Hello Devulapally,

Taking into account the rank that you have scored and that your category is EWS, you should be able to get Chemical Engineering in NIT Warangal under Home State quota.

Some additional information about JEE Mains:

JEE Mains is an annual exam that is conducted by the National Testing Agency and the CBSE for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other institutes. It also serves as the first stage for admission to IITs through JEE Advanced.

EWS is a new category that has been created by the MHRD for economically weaker sections. 10% seats will be reserved for those candidates whose annual family income is less than INR 8 lakh per annum.

As for your question, considering your peercentile, you won't be able to get CSE in SASTRA but should be able to get other less preferred branches.

I see that you want to pursue MCA from NIT Warangal. So you must have to pass NIMCET 2020. In order to do it , you must be having more than 6.5 CGPA in BTech/BCA ...

What I have seen that NIT Warangal is one of the best colleges to pursue MCA . I have studied previous year rankings , in order to get admission in NIT Warangal , you need to be under 100 rank. In 2018 it was 97. So it should be around this rank.

Hope it helps. Prepare hard , work hard. Score good.

Thank you .

I see that you are preferring civil above any other subject. And geotechnical engineering , what I have heard and what my friends told me .

Civil is one of those branches which doesn't have good scenarios . What I have heard that they have average packages . Some even say that it is the worst when compared to other branches.

But as civil is oldest so I don't think that the scope would be low.

What you are chosing is based above your interest. But ask me I would suggest you to go for transportation engineering I think it is better than all other specialisation in civil engineering. But that is my point of view.

Hope it helps .

Thank you.

Hello Swati, hope you are doing well. According to previous year's trends and cutoffs at this rank it is not possible to get into NIT Warangal or be it any NIT. you can try for private colleges which accept the Jee Mains score like Nirma University, Sastra University, Thapar University, etc. Still wait for cutoffs to be out as it changes every year. Hope it helps!! Good luck!!

Phanindra,

Yes you can change your branch or we can upgrade /slide your branch to CSE or even any branch you want but after 1st year.

Rules of branch change are

1. Only those students will be eligible for consideration for a change of branch after the I year II semester, who have

a) have completed all the credits in I year – I semester and in I year – II semester.

b) obtained a CGPA of NOT LESS THAN 8.0 at the end of the I year II semester in single attempt only.

2. Students who are repeating I year are not eligible.

• Students may enlist up to seven choices of branch in order of preference to which they wish to change over. It will be permissible to alter the choices after the application has been submitted.

• Change of branch shall be made strictly on the basis of merit of the applicants. For this purpose, the CGPA obtained at the end of the I year II semester shall be considered. Ties will resolved by All India Rank based on which the admission was given.

But on personal opinion it is very difficult to change branch you may have to get CGPA as high as 9.9 to stand a fair chance for branch upgradation.

Hope it helps.

Savera,

Last year closing rank for different branches was

Bio Technology 666

 Chemical Engineering 988

 Civil Engineering  615

 Computer Science and Engineering 185

 Electrical and Electronics Engineering 2509

Electronics and Communication Engineering 71

Mechanical Engineering 209

Though according to previous year closing ranks you don't get NITW but I think this year you can get it.
