Hello Sir/Ma'am. Osmania University is the third oldest University in south India and the seventh oldest university in India.
Osmania University was founded by Nawab Osman Ali Khan, seventh Nizam of Hyderabad.
The university focuses on contributing to the social and economic development of the country.
Osmania University is the first university which provides for Indian languages as the medium of instruction such as Urdu. English is a compulsory subject as well. It offers many courses like B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, etc.

The entrance tests in all the subjects, except that of M.P.Ed., will consist of 100 multiple choice objective questions for 100 marks. For M.P.Ed. Course, the entrance test will be of 75 multiple choice objective questions for 75 marks. The remaining 25 marks will be awarded by the Department of Physical Education, Osmania University for the Sports achievements of the candidates. The entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration.
The entrance test will consist of any 3 or 4 varieties of objective type items such as analogies, classification, matching, comprehension of a research study/experiment/ theoretical point of view, etc., with multiple answers besides the usual multiple choice items. The items will be framed only from the syllabus of the entrance test.
The pattern of Entrance Test for Admission to M.Sc. Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Genetics, Microbiology, and Nutrition & Dietetics is as follows: Candidates have to appear for a common entrance test, namely BCBTESFSGMN&D comprising of Part-A (Chemistry for 40 Marks) and Part-B (One of the options studied at B.Sc. level for 60 Marks. The options are Physics, Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology).
For 5 Yrs Integrated PG Programmes, the entrance test patterns are as follows:
1. M.B.A - The paper has two parts – A & B. Part – A: Section-A (Verbal Ability) containing 1 to 25 and Section-B (General Knowledge) containing 26 to 40. Part – B: Section-C (Numerical Data Analysis) containing 41 to 70 and Section-D (Reasoning and Intelligence) containing 71 to 100 multiple choice questions with four alternatives a, b, c & d.
2. M.A. Applied Economics - The paper has five parts – A, B, C, D & E. Part – A (Mathematics) containing 1 to 40, Part– B (General English) containing 41 to 55, Part – C (General Knowledge) containing 56 to 70, Part – D (Current Affairs) containing 71 to 85 and Part – E (General Economics) containing 86 to 100 multiple choice questions with four alternatives a, b, c & d.
3. M.Sc in Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Chemistry - The paper has four sections – A, B, C & D. Section– A Chemistry containing 1 to 34, Section – B Physics containing 35 to 67, Section – C Mathematics containing 68 to 100 multiple choice questions with four alternatives a, b, c & d. Sections A & B are common for both M.P.C & B.P.C students. Section – C Mathematics is for M.P.C students and Section – D Biology is for B.P.C students.
Hello Sir/Ma'am. Osmania University offers various full-time and distance education courses at UG, PG, and research levels. The admission process generally begins in the month of April with the availability of application forms. The admissions are mainly granted on the basis of a common entrance test conducted by the Osmania University.
The candidates can download the application forms from the official website of the university. For OUCET, the application fee is INR 700 (INR 575 for SC/ST). Students can pay the application fee through any of the AP online or TS online centers. The academic process generally begins in June. The university gives 6% reservations to ST, 15% to SC, and 29% to OBC. 85% of seats are reserved for local candidates.

Your GATE score is good. With this score, you can try first at National Institute of Technology Warangal. Beside this JNTUH and Osmania University is the option. For Osmania, your rank should be under 10000. IIT Hyderabad would be filled up within 3000 ranks.

The university is good and the infrastructure is awesome and the surrounding of the university is too good yar with huge. And the collage is located huge area with awesome infrastructure and with wide variety of garden and all it was awesome.
College is good in terms of infrastructure but it needs to be maintained well and keep up the standards and the trees are not well maintained and they need to focus on basic amenities for phd students and they have to make sure the trees grow well
The college offers a technologically advanced campus with smart classrooms and well-equipped labs. The library is extensive, though more digital resources would be helpful. The sports facilities are excellent.
