As in cases of other New IITs and IIITs in development, it takes at least 5 years for either of Academic or Residential Facilities to operate from the Permament Campus in full capacity.

Being established in 2017, you can expect partial start of Permanent Campus by end of 2022 or perhaps from the start of Academic Year 2022.

However, having classes alongside constant mentoring of SVNIT Surat, also has its advantage. You can use the excellent infrastructure and research facilities of NIT Surat besides interacting with the Eminent Professors and diverse students there.

Hello Shiva kumar , From some research on internet I found that NIT Warangal for Civil Engineering is better option because of there placement, infrastructure and all are better from NIT Surat and if we talk about fees then it is same at both colleges.

If you want a sure seat in cse branch of svnit surat, then you have to score at least above 99.6 percentile. That means your rank must be under 5000 from general category from other state quota ( i have assumed you a general category, as you haven't mentioned any ).

And therefore for securing a rank of under 5000 you must secure marks atleast above 180 in jee mains.

ramakrishnaeswar100 , From some research on internet I found that IIEST SHIBPUR is a good college because it has less fess with good placement and if we talk about infrastructure then both colleges are same in infrastructure.

Because you belong to Uttar Pradesh and your father's income certificate is of Uttar Pradesh you will be having domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh. As you have UP domicile you cannot apply as Gujarat hometown, you need to mention your hometown as UP.

To get seat in SVNIT through Gujarat hometown you must have a Gujarat domicile. You must clear the following eligibility criteria to apply for Gujarat domicile,

1.The Applicant should be a resident of Gujarat

2.Any person who was born in Gujarat and had been residing therein at least for 10 years is eligible. The wife and minor children having his residence in gujarat are also suitable.

3.A woman who belongs to another State but has married a permanent resident of Gujarat is also eligible.

4.Any person or her/his family member who was in regular Government service of Gujarat can apply for the domicile certificate.

If you clear this eligibility criteria you will be able to get domicile of Gujarat and will be able to apply through SVNIT hometown.

According to your jee mains rank , it is very difficult to get a seat in svnit surat as the cut off for this college if compared to your rank is very high and your rank is low. Therefore, it is not possible to get this college even if you wait till csab rounds
