If you are taking admission in VIT-AP for CSE through EAMCET and you are from OC category without EWS, then the fee you need to pay is around Rs 1,98,000 per year as tuition fee.

You will also need to pay a one-time caution deposit of Rs 3,000, which is refundable after you complete your course.

If you decide to stay in the hostel, then the hostel and mess fee will be between Rs 1,50,000 to Rs 2,20,000 per year, depending on the room type you choose.

So in total, for the first year, you will have to pay around Rs 2,01,000 without hostel, or around Rs 3,50,000 to Rs 4,20,000 if you take hostel.

There is no fee relaxation for OC category without EWS through EAMCET.

However, cutoffs are not fixed and change every year based on a number of factors like available seats, number of candidates applied and category-wise distributions. VIT-AP fills most seats through VITEEE(their own entrance exam), but a few seats are allotted through AP EAPCET under the convener quota. In past years cutoff for CSE at VIT-AP through EAPCET for BC-D female was typically below 15,000-17,000. You may get specializations.

NAAC official page also confirms the same as they have been rated "A++" in the 4th cycle. VIT is a prestigious institution for engineering.

Since you missed regular counseling, please go straight to the VIT-AP admission office and inquire about spot round options, or if there is any opportunity in the management quota. In the SC category, sometimes students obtain seats as late as a second and/or special admission phase. This is particularly true in new campuses like VIT-AP, and there often are SC category options available. Your home state of UP will not impede any eligibility, but you need to act quickly.

VIT-AP is the Amaravati campus of Vellore Institute of Technology . It is a private university in Andhra Pradesh. It offers courses like B.Tech, BBA, Law, and others. The campus is new but well-developed. It follows the same pattern as the main VIT campus.

If your son got VIT-AP through AP EAMCET counselling, it means he got admission based on his rank in the AP state counselling. The college is good, has good infrastructure, and placements are decent, especially for CSE and related branches.

It is a good option if he wants to stay in Andhra Pradesh and study in a private university with good facilities.

Secure at least 40 marks to qualify.

To get a good seat in top colleges, especially in Computer Science Engineering, aim for a rank below 30000.

If your rank is between 30000 and 70000, you can expect admission in private or moderately competitive colleges.
