According to latest cut offs if one is applying for PSG Tech if he/she belongs to General category then there cut offs are 75-80. And if one belongs to SC/ST/OBC and other backward classe their cut offs are 33,25,20 and  35 respectively.

And for Anna University the cut offs will be above 65%.

Yes.. IITs and NITs are best institutes in India to pursue M.Tech as well as B.Tech and Research .. Well, there are four premium IITs which are better , IIT Bombay .. IIT Kharagpur .. IIT Madras and IIT Delhi .. After then NIT Trichy, Calicut and Rourkela are best for pursuing M.Tech
