The question paper will be prepared by Anna University. A few subjects papers in every semester are set by outside professors and for every subject there will be outside professors correcting some of the papers in lottery to check legitimacy.

To get seat in Anna University in B.Tech you must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects from a recognized board. Depending on the category you belong to you have to score the following aggregate percentage in 10+2 level

• General - 45%
• Backward Classes including Backward Class Muslim - 40%
• MBC & DNC - 40%
• SC/SCA/ST - 40%

There is no age limit to apply for TNEA and but for admission to Marine Engineering the upper age limit is 25 years and the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English from a recognized board. And must have scored minimum 60% marks in PCM and minimum 50% marks in English either at 10 or 10+2 level. There is no bar on passing year of the qualifying examination that is 10+2 so yes, you are eligible to apply for TNEA Admission provided you must fulfill the above mentioned criteria. The admission is based on marks scored in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in 10+2 level.
