As per their notifications, the counseling has begun from 3rd of July 2019. So, as far as I can say, other state students counseling must have begun too. I’m attaching a link that Will give you further details on the admission process

The dates for Tamil Nadu B.Arch counselling has not been released yet.Generally the counselling starts from the second week or third weelkof july.

For B.Arch admissions in Tamil Nadu students need to clear NATA with the required cutoff released.Also the 10+2 exam percentage is taken into consideration along with the NATA score to calculate the merit score.Candidates need to apply online and register,the application form can also be physcially obtained from Anna University.Colleges will be alloted through counselling procedures before which the candidate will be issued a call letter.

Hey jaya ! Considering that you want to know the number of students who participated in first round of TNEA counselling 2018. Then the approximate figure for this is 7100. Out of 7100 ,  over 6k students participated on the first day of counselling.

See what i believe that you should go with the course which you like to study in next four years. Both colleges are well developed . you can't differentiate much n between them. It is true that NIT Trichy is slightly better than Anna university , but if you get better branch in Anna University then you should go for it.

Well, basing upon your oc category rank, it seems like you may get admission into Anna university but may not get your desired branch. But still you can give it a try at the time of counseling and it's better to apply for colleges in your own home state so that the chances of getting admission are high. You may also apply other deemed universities and private colleges in your rank at the time of counseling.

The date for other state counselling for Anna University has not yet released. They would be released soon. But the tentative dates are supposed to be in between the first and second week of July , 2019.

PG ADMISSIONS

At the postgraduate level, CEG Anna University offers Master of Engineering (M.E.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech) for a duration period of two years. The college also offers part-time M.E and M.Tech programs for the working professionals, for which the course duration is three years.

For admission to the first semester of the M.E or M.Tech programs, candidates shall be required to have passed an appropriate qualifying Degree prescribed by Director of Technical Education, Government of Tamilnadu.
