You haven't mention your percentile from which your chances are decided more accurately.

But to clear your query if you got 55 percentile in SNAP exam than you will get a call from SIMS PUNE as you belongs to defence category which gives an advantage.

So, I must you to prepare for further procedure of GD and PI because final selection will take on the basis of your performance in SNAP, GD and PI.

BITs does not offer lateral entry programme. It does offers only admissions in UG and integrated first year programmes - B.E., B.Pharm., and M.Sc at different BITS campuses.

For  the Joint Entrance Examination-Mains 2020, we have our own percentile predictor. Assuming that you belong to the General Category and are not Physically Challenged, I have calculated your percentile to be around 97.61- 97.81 and your rank 20014- 24164. You can check for yourself here:

The entry in bit mesra, ranchi is on the basis of two examinations , i.e. jee main and Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination (JEECE) . The students can appear in any of these to get into the college . In jee main you need to qualify secure a good rank in jee mains. If you are applying through jee main then the cut off ranks  fort last year was:

You haven't mentioned whether you belong to Rajasthan or Haryana. Neverthless, in both these States, Jat belongs to OBC. Now if you fall under OBC Non creamy layer, you will have to select OBC-NCL as your Category. But if your annual household income is more than the Non creamy layer slab, then you have to select General Category as your Category. If you fall under OBC-NCL, you will be eligible for OBC reservation of 27%.
