hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that it is quite difficult to predict the GATE Qualifying cutoff and to tell whether you will get any top NIT's or top IIT's  with this GATE Marks or not. This is because the GATE qualifying Cutoff varies every year and is different for different category students and it varies from colleges to colleges.

The GATE Cutoff depends on several factors like :

  1. Number of Seats in Program.

  2. Total number of applicants for program.

  3. Difficulty level of GATE for that particular exam.

  4. Previous year cutoff trends.

  5. Category for which cutoff is to be determined.

Further, The GATE Cutoff for CSE in 2022 for different category  was :

  • General - 25
  • OBC - 22.5
  • SC/ST/PWD - 16.6

And the GATE cutoff in 2021 for different category was :

  • For General category - 26.1
  • For OBC category - 17.4
  • For SC/ST/PwD Categories - 23.4

Further,  if you wish to know more about the GATE Qualifying cutoff trends then you can prefer following the below mentioned link to know more information about GATE Cutoff in CSE : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff-for-cse

Hi aspirant,

Yes you can surely get into College of Engineering, Pune after qualifying MHT CET examination. College of engineering Pune is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India and offers admission into B tech courses through two modes which are JEE main-- 15 percent and MHT CET--85 percent. Also 85% of the total seats are reserved for the local candidates and only 15% seats are made available to other state students. That means you would be only applying for those 15% seats as you are not from the Maharashtra state and applying through MHT CET. Also applicants are required to pass 10+2 from any Board with Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology as optional subjects.

Hope it helps!!

Hi aspirant,

All the colleges mentioned by you are the top notch ones which offer admissions based upon MHT CET scores. Though the seat allotment is done on merit basis based upon scores obtained in the entrance examination but to eligible for admission candidates must have passed the HSC/equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects – Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical/ Vocational subjects with a minimum aggregate of 45 percentage for general students and 40 percentage for reserved category students.

In case you are not able to scold the minimum required percentage your admission would be cancelled at the time of document verification.

Hope it helps!

Hello student,

As you have not mentioned your Caste Category, I'm considering it as General Category and providing information based on it.

It is difficult to predict exactly, because cut-offs changes from year to year and depends on many factors.

Previous year's cut-offs for College of Engineering, Pune for General Category are listed below.

B.Tech Computer Science Engineering

2020 - 123 Closing rank

2019  - 1 34 Closing rank

JEE Mains cut-off was around 99.62 Percentile previous year.

So, based on this you need to get MHT CET score below 100 and JEE Mains percentile 99.65+.

Hii aspirant,

College of Engineering Pune is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India and offers various engineering courses. The admission into the college is based upon two methods one is through MH CET and the other one is through JEE main scores. The admission through MHT CET is done via the counselling process for the same which is held about a week later from the date when the results for MHT CET is announced.
