Can i get direct admission in DTU.

Hello Arjita,

There is no criteria in Delhi Technical University to get admission directly. Eligibility to get admission in DTU are as follows :

You must have qualified JEE Mains with rank less than 150000, only then you will be called for counseling.

Your boards marks must be atleast 75%.

Thanks for asking your query, different colleges have different upgradation policies therefore I would suggest you to go through the upgradation policies of different institute or take information on it from admission department of your college.

Can i get nsit , dtu ,or iit - d with 120000 obc rank , defence category and delhi candidate?

Firstly correct your question, it should be IIIT Delhi.

Well I acknowledge, you ahve three heavy quotas ie Delhi, Defence and then an OBC.

But somewhere I believe, still these quotas are not good enough to secure a seat at these colleges as you need to understand that your JEE mains rank is way too less.

But still I would recommend you to take part in JAC and to go to it's last round ie the spot round. I've personally observed, that upside-down do happens at JAC's spot round.

Hey Gautam,

It's really difficult to say but it's expected that this time the first cut off will open at 96-97 and may close at 93-94.

Still don't lose hope, there might be few chances. Apply for it. I hope this helps you, good luck!

Is it necessary to be included in rank list of uceed for admission in dtu? Candidate without qualifying in each section can't get dtu?

Hi ,

So admission to B Des at DTU is on the basis of UCEED score . And so to be included in UCEED ranklist is compulsory . The number of seats in B Des program is 60 .

To appear in the UCEED ranklist, the candidate has to score minimum marks in each section and minimum total marks . And so without qualifying each section, you can't appear in the ranklist, as well as get admission at DTU.

i am confused about dtu councelling wich rank will be considered during councelling my crl rank in jee main or catagory rank in jee main

Hi,
In DTU counselling is done on the basis of jee mains crl rank and not any category rank. Your crl rank will be checked in the cutoff list in the category you have. The category rank given in the jee main result have no importance. It just tells you what is your rank among other students of the same category. Crl rank is your all India rank and that rank will be used for admission purpose in any college under jac Delhi. Iiitd uses its own rank which is given by the institute itself.

I got 95.67 percentile in jee mains and crl rank is 48721 in gen category . can i get nsit ,dtu, or iiit delhi? being delhi outsider.

Hello dear aspirant,
Congratulations on clearing jee mains

You have scored a good rank in JEE mains but If you belong to general category and is a outside Delhi student, then your rank isn't enough to get you at of these colleges, all the three colleges are among the most reputed colleges of India, so their cutoff is high and hence at least a rank of 35k is needed to get into any of these colleges.
You may have an outside chance, just an outside chace if making it to the unpopular branches in IIITD.

I got 60% in 12th and I belong to sc category and my jee mains rank is (crl) 427000 and category vise rank is 29000 can I eligible for DTU

Hii for getting a seat in dtu if you are from Delhi you can easily get but if you are from outside Delhi region you need to have minimum 200000 crl for sc

my preference order ( college alongwith branch) in JAC 2019 : NSIT, IIIt D, DTU

If you are more inclined toeatow programming you can consider computer science as your first preference in dtu or iiit d.

In nsit you can consider computer engineering , information technology and ece.

Don't consider mech since it's a new branch.

CSE and ECE departments of all three are very good .

So CSE > IT = ECE, then instrumentation and control and mpae of nsit

Sorry to say

U cannot get good branch in dtu like cse ece

Competition is cutthroat dtu is a top University on par with nits

Anyway u can get other branch
