i hope this helps

good luck!

While Indian institute of Science is a renowned place for higher education, the way of studying itself cannot be said as the best. I say this because there are many other institutions around the globe way better than this one that can give you a better experience.

I would recommend you to do PhD abroad where you do not have to simply pay fees and not get served for what you have spent. There are many institutions abroad that give you exactly or more than what you have paid for. Doing PhD is no joke and it is not easy as doing your bachelors or master for that matter. You need to have steady flow of funds for your research, paperwork, seminars and other preparations.

Hello student,

Indian institute of science Bangalore is second best institute in India. So I will obviously prefer this with any other international universities.

There about 6 BSc courses in this college. All of the degrees are international degrees. And you will get a premium quality education here. You also can get scholarships and good placements from here. And the course fee also will come under 1 lakh.

Hello,

Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore does not offer BS Biiotechnology. It offers BS Chemistry, BS Biology, BS Materials, BS Physics and BS ENVS. If you want to get admission in any of these courses you must appear in any one of the following entrance exams

  • JEE Main
  • JEE Advanced
  • NEET UG
  • KVPY

And score 60% if you belong to unreserved category, 54% if you belong to OBC-NCL and 30% if you belong to SC/ST/PWD categories in JEE Main or JEE Advanced or NEET UG.

You cannot get admission in IISc based on merit in TS EAMCET. TS EAMCET is a state level entrance exam for admission to Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy in colleges of Telangana.

Hey Rajesh

Your question can be explained in simple words- IISc is basically for science and research whereas IIM is for management. If you want to make a career in science you should go for iisc whereas if you are looking for a white collar job you should go for iim. ALthough iisc provides for M.Management but still it is not the first choice for some. I will give you the information I have from those who have studied in IISc-  There is 100% placement in management studies with average ctc 16 lakh per annum.  Professors are generally  PhD. holders from IITs or IIMs with the fees being  around 8 times lower than the iims.

Dear, for NITS , IITS , etc examination ...u have to keep at least 75%in ur 10+2 examination...it's for general categories.
But for SC and ST it is 65% atleast..

Hello aspirant,

IISc,Bangalore is a very premiere college so tge cutoffs for admission into this institute are pretty high-
  • General category candidates should score around 295 marks in JEE Main.
  • OBC category candidates should score around 230 marks in JEE MAIN.
  • For SC and ST candidate students the cutoff varies from year to year.

Hello,

IISc, Bangalore offers B.S, M.E/M.tec, M.Des, MBA and PhD. Admission to Bachelor is Science is based on merit in JEE Main/NEET-UG/JEE Advanced/KVPY. You need to appear in any of these examinations and score 60% if you belong to UR,  54% if you belong to OBC-NCL and 30% if you belong to SC/ST/PWD. And the eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 in 2020 or 2019 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with 60% marks for SC/ST category there is no minimum percentage of mark .However, they must pass in the qualifying exam

Admission to MBA is based on merit in CAT/GATE/GMAT and performance in group discussion and interview . Candidate must have passed BE/B.Tech or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Admission to M.Tech is based on merit in GATE and for sponsored candidates it is based on performance in interview. A candidate must have passed B.E/B.tech or master's degree in relevant discipline

Admission to PhD is based on performance in past academics, national level entrance exams that a candidate appeared prior to master's degree and/or the number of publications. Eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed ME /M Tech / M Sc(Engg) / MS / MBA (post BE / B Tech / Master’s degrees from a recognized board.

Always keep in mind while filling any application form that in more than 90 % cases, you always have a chance to upgrade your category from a reserved to a non reserved category but not downgrade i.e., from general to non-reserved. So, if you ever face any such situation, fill the reserved category and if you can't produce the certificate, it will automatically move to general. However, as the application process is over, you can't change it in this form i.e., IISc application form.

Hope this helps.

College Infrastructure

Our college provides excellent Wi-Fi. The labs have good computers. Classrooms are clean and have good lighting effects. The library has many books. The good part is that they allow us to borrow for many days, and the penalty is less for late submissions. Every odd semester, we have a fest. The hostel is not very good, and the food is not good.
