Hi,
Sorry to say, but with a category rank as high as 16k it will be very difficult to get any of the IIITs. In 2021, the highest closing rank was 9971 accepted by IIIT Kottayam.
You can find the colleges that match your rank through the college predictor - https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor
Hello,
Honestly it is difficult for you to get a seat in any of the colleges through jee mains which you have mentioned. I would suggest you to keep other colleges as a backup like private colleges.
Colleges like VIT Vellore, SRM University, Manipal University, BITS Pilani are very good colleges and they offer good placements. The biggest disadvantage of these colleges are that they charge huge amount as tuition fees .
But if you are financially stable then i would suggest that you should take up these colleges.
If you want to check the colleges you can get , you can check out the link given below -

Firstly congratulations, you have got a pretty decent rank. Now coming to the point, in your situation I would say you should either go with BIT Mesra CSE or DTU ECE, see IIIT Gwalior is at par with BIT Mesra I would say, but as you are comparing 5 year IT vs regular CSE at BIT Mesra, I would suggest going for BIT
Now for BIT vs DTU it completely depends on your personal choice, weather you want a better branch or better college, DTU is certainly better than BIT and objectively speaking CSE is in general considered better than ECE. So it all boils down what you want to sacrifice... Although I would say you won't regret in both the cases as both are indeed very good colleges.

Greetings!
At your rank it is going to be difficult to get into top 5 IIITs. Mainly because a good chunk of IIITs do not have reservations of any kind, it is because they are "semi-government" and are made from something called "Public-Private Partnership"
This is why they are not bound by law to have reservations, and therefore many don't have them. Now not to say that you can not get any IIIT, many IIITs to have reservations and you can get them at your rank. Say for example IIIT Vadodara, but I really wouldn't say that it belongs to "top 5 IIITs" . For more on this you can use following college predictor.

See if you are targeting for a Management course later in your life like an MBA, then more than your branch the brand of your college matters more. The best colleges out there should be your preference, so the order according to me is:
BITS Goa
BITS Hyderabad
NIT Surat
NIT Allahabad
NIT Calicut
NIT Nagpur
