Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

As per information your general rank will bearoud 3,15000 and your SC rank will be around 13,000. With this rank it will be difficult to get high demanding branches like CSE, IT, ECE etc in top NITs or IIITs.

Cutoff keeps changing year to year. Keep in mind that your chances to grab a seat will vary on the following basis:

  • Number of seats available
  • Number of students applied for the same branch
  • Performance of the students
  • The category you belong to etc.

Here are some NITs and IIITs based on your rank :

  1. NIT Agartala
  2. NIT Silchar
  3. NIT Arunachal Pradesh
  4. NIT Hamirpur
  5. NIT Patna
  6. NIT Meghalaya
  7. IIIT Lucknow
  8. IIIT Gwalior

Hope this helps.

JEE mains an entrance exam conducted for admission to various engineering courses in top institutes of India.
The qualifying percentile for obc ncl category is 70-75. Why your scores you have qualified the exam. Your percentile is approximately 93 then congratulations you have scored under 80000 but in this rank it is very difficult to get a good branch in any NIT so you must focus for getting at least 95 percentile. Just qualifying this exam is not enough.

Hello Aspirant

The fees of IIT Hyderabad - single degree (B.Tech) is INR 300000/- per annum.

In addition to the tuition fee, student has to pay for hostel charges (approx INR 3000/- per month) and mess charges (approx INR 3500/- per month ).

Hope it helps.

Best wishes to you :)

Even though you belong to the Scheduled Cast community, however to get a National Institute of Technology with a rank of 16,906 might not be an easy task. You may not get anything in the 6 rounds of counselling, however you have chances in the Special Round or the CSAB round. The cut-off for other state SC in NIT Mizoram in 2021 was (Special Round II):

Civil Engineering: 201395
Computer Science and Engineering: 149625
Mechanical Engineering: 198866

You can also use our college predictor to see your chances in all the colleges:

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

Hello

This difficult to predict as cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) jee main examination difficulty level.

-----------) branch preference by different candidates

-----------) the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020   :-

---------) NIT Nagaland :- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering  :- 8007 EWS rank

---------) NIT Raipur :- biotechnology :- 8096 ews rank

---------) National Institute of Technology Agartala:- production engineering :- 8629 ews rank

You can verify the above at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So, to get a seat in NITs, you need at least around 8.6k EWS rank

Thus,

  • with your rank, chances for NITs is extremely low. Same is the case with IIITs your chances are low

----------) Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) Una, Himachal Pradesh:-Electronics and Communication Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology):-5872 st rank
