Hello,

There are a total of 23 IITS. Few of the IIITs are Government owned while few are jointly owned as in partnership by the government and private leaders.

That's why the course fees for different IITS for different courses is not same. It varies in different IITS.

All technical- undergraduate engineering courses have a fee in the range of Rs 6 – 8 Lakhs excluding hostel fee for four years.

All 12th appearing or pass out engineering aspirants have to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. The candidates with cut off marks achieved in JEE-Main have to apply for the IIIT admissions and based on their marks are called for counselling and seat allotment in IIITs of their choice.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) http://www.josaa.nic.in

is responsible for conducting admission in IIITs through its website.

Hello,

I hope you are doing fine, IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bhubaneswar and IIIT Bangalore are state owned/private institutes which are often mistaken as central govt. institute by the students, rest of IIITs are govt. These IIIT are International Institute of Info. Technology. Admission are based on JEE mains marks.

Institutes among which

IIIT Allahabad, IIITM Gwalior, IIITDM Jabalpur & IIITDM Kancheepuram(older IIITs) are recognized as institute of national importance under IIIT Act -2014. (Fully funded by MHRD). These have facilities and reservation norms similar to the IITs.

Rest of newer IIITs are also govt. institutes however their development is based upon PPP model but has no difference than existing IIITs.

Hi

In Telangana, there's a NIT Warangal for which you need a really good rank even under home state quota

It's quite difficult to predict because cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

******number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

****** number of available seats,

****** performance of different students in the examination,

****** the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>> with  13340 st rank

You have Very low chance in NITs.

For example,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the lower nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for st category  :-

  • NIT Mizoram ,civil engineering :-   2975 st rank

  • Nit nagaland ,Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering :- 3086 st rank

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala,    Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering:- 3521 st rank

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 3500 st rank to get into an NIT .

Similar is the case with IIITs, your chances are extremely low

But yes,

Some of the government engineering colleges in which you hold a chance are listed below along with their previous year cut off link :-

-------) University Institute of Technology Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Shahdol:- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/university-institute-of-technology-rajiv-gandhi-proudyogiki-vishwavidyalaya-shahdol/cut-off

------) Vikram University, Ujjain :- https://dqxeclau.top/university/vikram-university-ujjain/cut-off

This prediction of colleges is  based of past year data but  cut off or closing rank changes every year depending upon many factors like the number of students that give the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main  for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Thank you

No, with a Rank of 76k in JEE Main, being from General Category, you probably wont have strong chances among NITs even in CSAB Round. You should definitely check CSAB Spot Cutoffs of your Home State NIT, Certain North East NITs as well as GFTI. BIT Mesra is a very good GFTI and you may have moderate scope in securing a seat in the CSAB Rounds in certain Branches like Chemical, Plastic/Polymer, Biotechnology, Production, Civil and some others, however do check the Previous Spot Round Cutoffs before Deciding.

You should parallely target State Engineering Colleges, under State Engineering Counselling if through JEE Main scorecard as well as many good private Universities and Engineering Colleges accepting JEE Main Scorecard for Admission and Counselling.
