Hello,

With an SC category rank of 321 in UCEED 2025 , your chances of securing admission to the B.Tech. in Computer Science and Design (CSD) program at IIIT Delhi are promising. So it is very likely that you will get admission to IIIT Delhi.

All the Best !

Hello student,

Being a 12th repeater won't significantly impact your placements at IITs, NITs, IIITs, or BITS , as long as you perform well in college. Most companies focus on:

  1. Your CGPA in college
  2. Skills & projects relevant to the job
  3. Internships & experience
  4. Performance in interviews & coding rounds (for tech roles)

Some top companies (like Google, Microsoft, etc.) may have strict eligibility criteria (like no academic gaps), but many MNCs and startups do not reject candidates solely for repeating 12th . If you excel in your B.Tech , your 12th gap won't matter much. Just focus on building a strong resume with skills, projects, and internships .

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

With a 79.57 percentile in JEE Mains 2025 under the SC category, your chances of getting into a top NIT or IIIT are relatively low. Typically, you'd need a percentile score of at least 90-92 to have decent chances of getting into an NIT or IIIT.

However, there are some NITs and IIITs that may consider your score. Here are a few examples:

- NIT Mizoram: Civil Engineering (closing rank around 8376 in the SC category)

- NIT Nagaland: Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (closing rank around 8641 in the SC category)

- NIT Agartala*l: Production Engineering (closing rank around 9207 in the SC category)

Keep in mind that these cutoffs are based on previous years' data and may vary for the 2025 session. To get a better idea of your chances, I recommend using a JEE Main college predictor tool.

Additionally, you may also consider private engineering colleges that accept JEE Main scores. Some examples include:

- Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, Durgapur

- Aditya College of Technology and Science, Satna

- Oriental College of Technology, Bhopal

To secure a rank under 3000 in the OBC category for CS&AI at IIIT Lucknow , you should aim for a percentile around 95-97 in the JEE Mains exam; this range is generally considered necessary to achieve a rank within the top 3000 OBC candidates.

  • Variation in cutoffs:

Exact cutoffs fluctuate every year, so it's important to check the latest trends and previous year's data for accurate estimation.

  • Competition for CS&AI:

Since Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence is a highly sought-after branch, the cutoff for OBC category might be slightly higher compared to other branches.

  • State-level quota:

As a UP resident, you might benefit from a slightly lower cutoff within the OBC category.

With a 92.01 percentile in JEE Mains 2025, your son has a good chance of getting into top engineering colleges. As an OBC-NCL candidate from Andhra Pradesh, he'll have access to reserved seats in various institutions.

Let's explore options like NITs and IIITs. NITs (National Institutes of Technology) offer a wide range of scientific and technology-focused undergraduate and graduate programs. Admission is based on JEE Main scores, and fees range from INR 8-10 lakhs for General students.

Considering your son's percentile, here are some potential options:

- NIT Warangal: A top-ranked NIT in Andhra Pradesh, offering various engineering programs.

- NIT Andhra Pradesh: Another option in Andhra Pradesh, offering programs like Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and more.

- IIIT Hyderabad: A renowned IIIT offering programs like Computer Science, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT Hyderabad) UGEE exam is worth a total of 150 marks. The exam consists of two sections, the Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR) and the Research Aptitude Test (REAP).

  • The SUPR section is worth 50 marks and has 50 questions.
  • The REAP section is worth 100 marks and has 50 questions.
  • Both sections have negative marking of 25%.
  • The UGEE exam is a computer-based test that is conducted annually.
  • The UGEE exam covers the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

With an 85 percentile in JEE Mains EWS category as a girl candidate, you have a good chance of getting admission to some NITs, government engineering colleges, and IIITs, but likely not the top-ranked ones; you might need to consider lower ranked NITs or other government colleges depending on your branch preference and specific state cutoffs.

  • You percentile Not enough for top NITs:

An 85 percentile in EWS category might not be sufficient to secure admission to the most prestigious NITs like NIT Trichy or NIT Warangal.

  • Consider lower ranked NITs:

You can explore options in newer NITs or NITs located in less preferred regions where the cutoffs might be lower.

  • Check state-level government colleges:

Many state-level government engineering colleges have lower cutoffs compared to top NITs, and you might get a good branch there with this percentile.

IIITs:

Depending on your branch choice, you might be able to secure admission to some IIITs with this percentile.

What to do next:

  • Analyze the cutoff trends:

Check the previous year's cutoff trends for different NITs, IIITs, and government colleges in your desired branch to see which ones are within your reach.

Participate actively in the Joint Admission Counselling (JoSAA) process to choose colleges based on your rank and preferences.

  • Consider your branch choice:

Certain branches might have lower cutoffs compared to others, so choose wisely based on your interests and career goals.

Hope you get what you want...
