Hope this helps you :)
Hello Aspirant!
Yes, off-course you can definitely get a seat in the GFTIs(government funded technical institutions ) for sure 100% . Talking about the case of nits(not the top ones) there are chances of getting a suitable branch in the north-eastern nits in the special rounds of josaa counselling. For the case of iiits it's the same answer as that for the nits.
Hope this helps you :)
Hello Aspirant!
Looking at your rank in Jee Mains(i.e 34,286), you can oviously get cse or it branch in most of the GFTIs(govt funded technical institutes) as well in all the engineering colleges under your state government.
There are chances of getting cse or it in the iiits in the south(very little chance). Also you have chances of getting cse or it branch in the north-east nits.
Hope this helps you :)
Well to start with 6 lakh is a not so good rank to be even considered for admission in any of the Govt colleges. However do fill counselling as luck may favour you as you might get a seat in the Eastern NITs or NIT Jammu as well. But getting a decent college at that rank is nearly impossible.
As per your rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get are:-
Thapar institute of Engineering and technology
YMCA college of engineering,Faridabad
IIIT Pune(ECE,CSE,IT branch)

Hi Hariom,
Since you are from the general category, you first need to be in the top 20 percentile of your state board because you have not secured an overall aggregate of 75% in 12th.
Even if you do secure the top 20 percentile, it will not be possible for you to get IIT, NIT or GFTI based on your rank.
Hope this helps you.
All the best!!!
Hi Neha,
I would suggest you participate in JoSSA counselling because it will surely give you a chance in the 7th round because there is a reservation for female quota in some NIT's like NIT Meghalaya - Civil and Mechanical branch.
It will also give you a chance in some IIIT's as well.
The JoSSA counselling form will be available in the second week of June.

Hope this helps you.
All the Best!!!
Hello dear!!!
You have such a good percentile of 95.93 and your category rank is also very low. So I think that you'll go away with NIT for sure.
But with your rank to get the top nits you should take any branch that you'll get.
But to have your admired branch you should take somewhat low level NIT.
But be patient upto the last round of the counselling. I hope this helps and please do comment for more doubts,.
Thank you.
Hi Rohit,
I don't think it will be possible for you to get an NIT or IIIT with this rank because you need a rank below 50k to stand a chance in any NIT or IIIT.
You can check the cutoff of home state quota, but that will also not be enough for you to secure a seat.

All the best!!!
It is difficult to get CSE in good NITs or IIITs with your rank. But you may get CSE in some of the new IIITs.

Good luck!
As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
