In this rank, it would be very difficult for you to get admission in any NIT, IIIT or GFTI. Rather you should try in some state government Colleges or the private colleges which takes admission through JEE Mains score, it would be beneficial for you.

Am sorry but with this rank getting a government institute or even a GFTI is very tough...... Although if U have appeared in any state level engineering exam then U can wait for its result and get admission in it.....Also u should fill up Ur choices in JOSAA counselling...in special or mop up rounds u may have chance in lower branches

Since this year's cutoff has not been declared yet, with a SC rank of 3,150 according to previous years cutoffs and trands, it is unlikely you will be able to get any college. However, you can get admission in -

According to AIR rank you can get NITs, IIITs, GFTIs but you will not get the expected branches like Mechanical,Electrical, ECE,CSE,CE. If you are in any category than you can get IT and other branches. Every year there is different cut offs, which Institute is taking upto which rank it is not possible to predict. Fill up your choice filling in JOSAA and CSAB and wait for the counseling.
Hi ! First of all there is no chance for you to get a good college along with good branch. Well you might get some 2nd tier college with low grade branches and 3rd tier college with all streams. So the colleges which are possible for you are appear to be nit Manipur, nit Durgapur, nit Jarkhand, nit Sikkim and nit Meghalaya. For IIIT it is IIIT Kurnool, IIIT Kalyani and some minor. For GFTI Mesra possible with worst branch and Amity. So hope you understand and best of luck to you. Given below a link will be useful for you.

I think you are mistaken because Tiruchirapalli do not provide mechanical course in BTech .
There are only two course available that is computer science engineering and electronic and communication engineering.
And with this rank you have a fair chance to get any of the two branch ( CSE and ECE ).
You can see last year cut offs .

Hey Shiva! 87000 rank in JEE Mains 2019 is very good score being a general Category student. You can predict your college with careers360 college predictor on the basis of your rank in JEE Mains 2019 with the below link as these predictor works on the last year cutoff and statistics. Now, coming to your colleges, owing to your SC category, you can expect some new IIIT's to get.
Some of the best new IIIT's are
1. IIIT Trichy
2. IIIT kottayam
But don't shy yourself away from filling even the dream NIT/IIIT of your choice. As JoSAA allows you to fill as many options you can, so do take that oppertunity.
So, I would recommend you to take part in JoSAA and go to through all the round even the spot round

College Infrastructure
As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
Overall college life here is not too much but good.

College Infrastructure
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.

College Infrastructure
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
