Jadavpur University is an open university which was established in 1955 . Earlier, it was known as Bengal Technical Institute. The university is associated with the Association of Indian Universities and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The university features two campuses. Also, the QS World University Rankings has placed the university in 74th position. The university comprises the school of environmental studies that work on highlighting the conditions of water scarcity. In 2011 , the laser animation lab was developed which was assisted by Manick Sorcar, a well-known American scientist.

Jadavpur university one of the india's top university, as all students wants to get admission in this great college but some students able to get admission in this college. From previous year a new bill was passed which states that about 90% seats of theses college is fixed for the students of that state tat is West Bengal, which results in great fall down of cut off for outside students.

Jadavpur University offers UG, PG and Ph.D courses through its Departments and Affiliated Colleges. It provides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programs in various streams including Engineering, Architecture, Education, Science, and Social Science. Admission to these courses is done on the basis of merit scored in the previous qualifying examinations or the entrance test as per the program.

For B.Tech admissions, a valid rank in WBJEE is required. M.Tech/ M.E admissions will be granted on the basis of GATE Score. Admission to all other UG and PG Courses will be granted on the basis of Entrance Exam conducted by Jadavpur University. However, the University offers B.Sc admission on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.

if you are asking for BTech then it will be decided by the university as admission will be given through WBJEE counselling process. dates will be notified soon.

for BPharm/Bsc/BEd/ BA/ BPEd :- JU may release the form in next month. it is not sure yet as the health crisis is still unstable.  please check the official webpage of JU for regular updates.

BArch :- admission depends on NATA exam and counselling process . NATA is about be conducted in August 1. Officials are trying best to conduct the process with most safety so it is getting delayed

To take admission in Jadavpur University u need to appear in the WBJEE EXAM held every year. Every year the paper is quite easy as compared to the JEE MAINS paper and u don't need to put any extra efforts if u are preparing for JEE MAINS/ADVANCED. Syllabus is exactly similar to JEE MAINS. U can solve its previous year questions to see the marking scheme Nd the pattern in which questions are asked. U have to be very fast with ur calculations and also very accurate. A difference of 2–3 marks brings a lot of difference in the rank.

jadavpur college is well known for its quality in education and placements

Last year, almost 94% of job seekers got placed. The highest salary package offered was 27 LPA. The average salary package offered was good, and it was around 8-9 LPA. Students of the third year get internships from the college itself.they do have a placement cell.

jadavpur University is a top notch State University which was established in the year 1955 and is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The University is approved by UGC, AICTE, NCTE, and COA. It is one of the best, one can get for mechanical Engineering or for any other branch. If I tell you about placements then I will that  its very good .More than 85% of the students got placedin mech, others went for MS mostly. Average package is above 6.5 LPA. Multiple offers are common thing. The department of mechanical engineering this year has got the highest package of appoxmately 17 LPA, average is 7 LPA.

Coming to Infrastructure ,Facilities are world class. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available. Labs are world class are totally functioning. All the equipments are modern.
