The college offers quite good infrastructure and courses for core branches, although it is not very active for IT CSE students, but still, it provides guidance to them. The course is designed keeping in mind that the students do not get burdened with the course curriculum
Yes, most of the teachers in this college are quite knowledgeable about the concepts they teach. They are readily available for students even after class hours to assist them with their doubts. They excel in their subjects and take regular assessments to keep a check on students' understanding of the subject.
There is a good experience of placement. The college will provide you 75% placement; you only have to need skills to grab that opportunity. You only have to attend the classes and labs regularly. You have to give the assignment, quiz, midterm, surprise test, etc. regularly
One of the best things about NIST is its infrastructure. We have dedicated buildings for almost every branch. Even the first years have a dedicated building. We have a swimming pool, indoor stadium, Rock garden and many other places to chill out. There are 2 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls inside the campus premises.
ECE branch is blessed to have the best faculty members in NIST. Other branches have good faculty members as well. The semester exams are very strict and you must have good knowledge in order to move ahead without a back paper. There are 6 papers per semester which is not a big deal.
the campus recruitment was more than 90%. Almost every student got placed. The lowest package was about 3.5 LPA whereas the highest was 21 LPA on campus. Students also applied for off-campus companies and one of them even bagged a package of 40 LPA.
The faculty members for ECE were the reason I chose this branch.
With an emphasis on industry-aligned skills, the institution provides a variety of degrees in engineering, agriculture, management, and other fields. Our campus library is well stocked with academic books, journals, reference materials, and digital resources.
Our college emphasizes practical learning, with skill-based modules integrated into most programs. This is particularly noticeable in courses like management, electronics, and computer science, where the university works with businesses to offer up-to-date, pertinent information.
Due of its outstanding placement record, NIST Berhampur draws prestigious multinational corporations (MNCs) that provide excellent employment possibilities for students. I studied B.tech in Electronic and communication. The quality of teaching was nice, professors were helpful and supportive. Nice infrastructure and labs. There were multiple clubs for extracurricular activities. After completion of my graduation, I got placed from this college only..
The placement in the college was nice. Around 70-75% of people got placed in different companies. Our batch's highest package was 18 LPA and the average was 3.6 LPA. There was a separate placement department, that used to provide support and all necessary help.
Around 1.20 Lakh per year. Yes it was worth because of the faculty members and their guidance.
Its campus, its labs, indoor stadium are the best. Students can engage in sports, academics, and cultural events. The teachers and support staff were good and helpful. It is a safe place and can handle emergencies.
Overall nice.
Great infrastructure and campus. Accommodate required facilities such as maintained classrooms, well equipped laboratories, spacious and easy to access library, indoor and outdoor sports facilities with on campus gym and swimming pool. College also have options for on campus and outside campus hostel facilities. Food is also decent.
Faculties are well experienced with good academic and overall curriculum. Available options for sponsered higher studies and onsite internships and trainings as well. Certification and training with tie-up with companies.
Placement scope is much better due to framed curriculum, education and training in industry required areas. Highest offer recieved in session 19-20 was above 18 Lpa. Overall average package ranging approximately 3-3.5 Lpa.
Have OK fee structure.
Have comparable wide campus accomodating necessary facilities.
Infrastructure was fine. But still a lot of correction was needed. Some parts are needed to be repaired. I dnt know how it is right now. Maybe they improved. There wasn't any ground for sports activities.
Studying in CS or IT is recommended here. Other than that Academics goes fine in other branches. Faculties are good. As I was from civil department. So a lot of faculties used to change from time to time
As I have already said, CS & IT. Still during my time, civil department got its first company onboard and I was selected in that. The role wasn't that good, but that experience helped a lot in the upcoming stage.
It's fine. But needed more expertise in terms of placements.
It was good. Made lots of memories
Not bad. Achieved a lot. Learned a lot. Experience was fantastic.

Hello Aspirant
GITA is superior to NIST in every way, not just with regard to placement. The colleges host the same hiring companies because they are almost in the same geographic vicinity and have nearly identical accreditations. However, I also consider fee structures to be important factors. And the GITA pricing schedule is reasonable.
Thanks
