NIT surathkal is one of the top institutes in india and the cutoff is really High,with 115 marks it really tough to get a good rank even under state qouta, if you belong to some reserved category then you may get any branch like metallurgical, mining or civil Engineering, the cutoff rank ranges from 12332 to 27878 for these branches and it's under 8000 for CSE, ECE or IT.for CSE the opening amd closing ranks were 960 to 3161 respectively, which is very high.

I am a MBA student from NIT Surathkal , even-though it is a technical institution it is good to do MBA here as it has good placements this year. Companies like Delloite, ITI, Federal Bank and many other good companies recruited many students with the average package of 7 lakhs per annum.

Rather than investing in private colleges it is better to study in NIT with lesser fee. You will get both  in NIT Surathkal and MNIT Allahabad for your percentile.You have to perform well in your group discussion and personal interview which is also important for the admissions.

Your query is incomplete as you haven't mentioned any company.If your query is about placements in NIT, Surthakal kindly go through the details of the concerned company in which you will get details of package offered, qualification required, Eligibility criteria etc.Often time the salary is mentioned per annum.But once check the recruitment details in your college website or reach your placement TPO for clarification.

Hey,nit surathkal is premier institute of india.It has very good ranking in nirf ranking.It's average placement record is above 95%.And about 15% students are doing research from this institute.It has it's own beach.But every hostel has some issues of mess food or facilities so you have to adjust it. Overall it is good institute.

NIT Surathkal is one of the topmost NITs of India. If you're a candidate with your home state as Karnataka than it's going to be easier for you compared to other state candidates.

Joining in NIT Surathkal totally depends on your JEE main rank. You need to score a minimum of 98 percentile in any of the JEE mains paper, to get into NIT Surathkal. For better branch you need to score more than 99 percentile here. Now that JEE main is conducted of 300 marks, you should target of scoring 220+ to get more than 99 percentile.

Since you will fall into All India Quota for NIT surthakal, For ECE the closing and opening ranks approximately based on previous years  were 2000-4000.

For your rank to fall in that range, you have to score around 220-240marks in the exam.

None of the NIT offer B.Tech in Aerospace so you will have to clear JEE Advanced and only 4 IITs and IIEST Shibpur provide this programme.

Hey Manjunath! As the name suggest NITK (National Institute of Technology Karnataka) is a government owned college which is among the top colleges of India. The CSE branch is in its peak so the placement for CSE is in every college but NITK has a special placement wing which is training students very well which ultimately helps students to crack the interview. Admissions at NIT Suratkhal to these courses are conducted every year and are done on the basis of various national level entrance examination like JEE Main and GATE.
