Hello Jamshed,
We understand your concerns. I am sorry to tell you that with then rank you have got in your JEE Mains 2019 examinations, you will not be able to get any NITs in india. But do not worry as you are eligible for many other colleges. You can use the college predictor tool to view the list of colleges:

All the best!
Hi Kiran,
I don't think it will be possible for you to get NIT Surathkal by JoSSA counseling because you need to secure a rank below 10000 to stand a chance in any branch.
Competition is such that even after the 7th round of JoSSA, it will not be possible for you because the cutoff does not go above 15000.
All the best!!!
NIT Trichy is definitely a good college when it comes to engineering colleges. It's atmosphere, peers, competition is above all. When it comes to placements in NIT Trichy, they are good for all branches provided you are a good and hard working student. They give placements in Tata Steel, Reliance, Oracle, etc... Metallurgical engineering has a bar scope outside India. College does it's bit rest is in your hands to study well and perform well.
On the other hand NIT Surathkal, as per their own students say, minimum placement is 6 lakhs per annum and maximum being 34 lakhs. Last year around 87% of students got placed.
Hello,
Based on the cutoff of 2018 , the closing rank was 11813
So your chances are less according to last year trend.
Every year the cutoff will vary based on the difficulty level of exam, no of applicants, no of seats available etc.
You can check the previous year cutoffs using the link below to understand the trend,

Hope this helped you!
All the best!
Hello dear
Yes there are fair chances that you will get civil engineering with this category rank in nit surathkal untill there is any up and down or any exceptions occurs because it will depend upon other students choices and preferences also.
But according to previous years cut's offs ;you will get civil.
So good luck
Hello Sir/Ma'am. If you’re looking for a better campus in terms of Infrastructure and maintenance, I’d say NIT Trichy. It’s more than twice the size of NITK. But NITK Campus is unique in its own way, and honestly, if you’re into the warm sunset and the sea breeze, the beach does trump everything. And the cultural festival Incident is a level apart. Both are more or less equal in terms of placement in the asked course.
Im a First Year Student at NIT Surathkal persuing Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and the infrastructure is great other than their sports complex is not so good, all of the sports facilities are cramped in one place
Classrooms and sports centres are great. Infrastructure available on need basis. Wi-Fi is great but not available at good speeds at some hostels. There is CIDS and CRF that are having many projects. There are two libraries one of which is open upto 12 midnight on normal days.
The college had a big name already and it lived by it. It provided a campus considering the comfort of the students incorporating all the necessary facilities like the labs for the science and libraries.
