Hi Ravi!
The fee structure for CCMT participating institutes for B.Tech programmes is semester wise. It is clearly written at the top of column for mess fee included yes/no. If not then fee is mentioned, so for NIT Surathkal you have to deposit Rs 25600 per semester.
I hope it helps.
Hi Shafnas,
As per Gate previous year cutoffs, the cutoff gate score for IIT Guwahati VLSI is 728 where as the cutoff for NIT Surathkal VLSI is 793 (both for general category). So it is difficult to get admission into any oh them.I am putting you the link for reference:https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff
Coming to placements part, both have good placements for VLSI.
Hope it helps
Hii
IIT BHU has a better placement record. It has good campus & has a good labrotary too. A lot of opportunities is there in BHU. So choose BHU. Both Tech. & non Tech. Companies come in bhu. Most of the students get placed in good companies & get international packages also. Best of luck.
Hope this information is helpful for you.
Hello!Lakshmi
To secure seats in NIT SURATHAL,you need at least 150 score under general category. With such score you will get stream like Minning, metallurgy etc.For core stream you need 220 score. For sureity wait till NIT SURATHKAL announce their cuttoff score.
Ask for any query.
GOOD LUCK!
Hey Shafnas.
See the marks u have scored is pretty good enough to bag u a seat in both of these colleges for pursuing ur higher studies in the field of ur interest. Choosing VLSI might be a good option as it is one of the vast and latest topics that is prevailing in a great manner. U can also choose power electronics but it won't be giving u both coding and electrical knowledge. Also both the colleges are of same level so college issue also don't arises.
Hope u got ur point. Ask if any query.
Good luck

Hi Durgashree N !
As per our RAnk Predictor tool your cml rank will be probably in between 378690-418690 and the category rank will be around 9000-10000. This rank may vary a little. Also I am providing you the link for the cut off of the NIT colleges :-
Im a First Year Student at NIT Surathkal persuing Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and the infrastructure is great other than their sports complex is not so good, all of the sports facilities are cramped in one place
Classrooms and sports centres are great. Infrastructure available on need basis. Wi-Fi is great but not available at good speeds at some hostels. There is CIDS and CRF that are having many projects. There are two libraries one of which is open upto 12 midnight on normal days.
The college had a big name already and it lived by it. It provided a campus considering the comfort of the students incorporating all the necessary facilities like the labs for the science and libraries.
