According to the latest NIRF ranking,

NIT rourkela has better score and rank than Nit Calicut. As NIRF ranking is based on various factors like placements, academics, infrastructure.So you can get idea from it. But it does not mean that Nit Calicut is lower,NIRF ranking changes every year and according to me both are at the same place in terms of better college.Now it's totally depends on you that which college attracts you in terms of your preference like distance from your home,campus, placement etc.

Both are the one of best Nits in India and you are lucky that you are getting seat in any of the above Nits. Both are equally good you can choose any of them according to your preference.

There's no doubt NIT Rourkela is one of the prestigious colleges in the country, with great infrastructure, faculty and placements. Although the industrial design branch is fairly new the placements are decent. Based on the data available, last year about 85% students were placed with the highest salary of 14 LPA and lowest being 4 LPA. Some great companies like Byju's design and Think design were part of the recruitment. So yes, NIT Rourkela for Industrial design is definitely a good option.

Hello, it also depends on your interest for branch. But I would recommend you to go with production engineering as it is a part of mechanical engineering and it's placement are good.
There is a need of production Engineers in industry.

This branch deals with manufacturing things with knowledge of management skills.
So, if you are interested in this you should go for it.

Also, yes you can upgrade your branch at the end of first year but this is based on your gpa and this criteria has to be fulfilled and the vacancies should be available on your department of choice. On the other hand, It at IIIT sonipat is a very good course to take and it is a reputed university. I would advise you to take It at IIIt Sonipat. Here are some factors that can consider before making a choice:

Infrastructure and college life:

IIIT Sonipat has a good infrastructure with well equipped labs and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent and nice environment is always maintained. You can see that the campus life is going to be really well. College life is good with the right kind of atmosphere given to the students who come from different places.

Fa culty and quality of education:

All the faculties are qualified and experienced over here. And education, curriculum is made in such a way that students are made to acquire more hands on knowledge than just the theory. It is not just the books and classes. Focuses more on practical knowledge than the theoretical one. Education quality and the way guidance is given is really good.

B.tech in Mining engineering  NIT Rourkela has greater JEE cut off as compared to that of B.tech Mining in NIT Surathkal. NIT Rourkela has a vast campus which is the 2nd largest campus in India after IIT Kharagpur. Vikram Sarabhai hall of residence in NIT Rourkela is the 2nd largest hostel in Asia .

Hello student. Both the branches are totally different. integrated mathematics and biotechnology are two of different branches. So, choose the branch which you are intrested in. When it comes to colleges. NIT rourkela has higher ranking than NIT durgapur. S, I suggest you that college.

NIT Rourkela is one of the premier engineering institutes in India and the Department of Mathematics is an independent department in the institute. The Department of Mathematics at NIT Rourkela is specialized in creating human resources in the area of Algebraic topology, Functional analysis, Artificial intelligence, Boundary value problems, Category theory, Complex analysis, Differential equations, Differentiable manifolds, Fluid dynamics, Fuzzy set and topology, Fractional calculus, Generic algorithm, Lee algebra, Magneto-hydro dynamics and much more. It offers 2 years M.Sc. degree, 5 years integrated M.Sc programme, PhD etc.

When it comes to placements, coaching institutes like Aakash, Empower, Books, Avanti, Concept Educations and some software companies also hire Mathematics students. The average salary offered is about Rs 5 lakhs per annum in coaching centres and the average package offered by tech companies is around 6 LPA. The infrastructure of National Institute of Technology Rourkela is so beautiful as other NITs. We have all the world class facilities available in the campus all the infrastructure has some story of success

The laboratories were equipped with all necessary equipment. Each department and the library have open Wi-Fi access. The hostel provides spacious rooms that can accommodate two students. The mess facilities were somewhat manageable for students from other states. Additionally, we have access to free medical services here.

The infrastructure is very good. We have an indoor stadium, a football field, and a cricket field. Campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, classrooms have ACs and labs are also good and equipped with all instruments and machines. In hostels, the quality of food is good. Different types of food options are available for North Indians and South Indians. The college has a medical center with a doctor available 24 hours a day. Sports facilities are also available at college.
