As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that the closing SC rank was 150 for Computer Science and Engineering branch in NIT Trichy under Other state quota for SC category.

So, with regard of you're query. If you get 200 marks in JEE MAINS. then you will get around 98-98.987 (approx) percentile and you will secure around 10k-20k rank in general category.  the cut off  CSE branch in NIT TRICHY in SC category depends upon the number of students in you're category. if the number of students in you're category scores more than you're marks. they will get a chance before you. So, if you really want a seat in  CSE branch in nit Trichy then, you should get around 250-260. then you'll definitely get a seat.

I hope you are doing well. As per your mentioned query , i would like to tell you that for computer science and science engineering, you should have at least 250+ marks. If you belong to the OBC category, then it is around 150+ marks for getting into NIT Trichy, and for ST and SC categories, it is around 100+ for getting into NIT Trichy.

So , you have to work hard if you want to get admission in this college. Go easy with consistency.

In order to get NIT Trichy for CSE branch you must score very decent marks in JEE mains in order to secure your seat such that it will ultimately help you to get the seat in the NIT.

See, as you have mentioned that you are from SC category then defnititley the cutoff will be quite low for sc candidates  but as everybody knows that cutoffs vary every year and the reason depends upon these factors:

• Difficulty of question paper
• Average score
• No. Of seats reserved for categories

So in order to get nit trichy you must score above 85 malrs in JEE mains for safer side. Otherwise  if you score more marks then your are fully secured.

In order to get ece branch in NIT TRICHY, a student must have a minimum of 170+ Mark's for ECE branch.

For EWS category candidates, approx 98%ile must be scored for safer side because nobody knows when the cutoff pattern changes and the level of the question paper.  So better to grab more marks.

The minimum marks that you require in order to get admission totally depends on that year's cut off which is determined by factors like

• The number of students appeared in the exam
• The difficulty level of the exam
• The vacancy seat matrix of the colleges.

However there can be a minor prediction made as per the past few years cut-off records that for branches like Computer Science Engineering you need atleast more than 250 score to ensure a seat in Institutions like NIT Trichy.

So with regard to your query, in order to get CSE branch in NIT Trichy, you need to score between 80 to 85 percentile and the rank must be between 15,000 to 20,000. Further, the cut off usually varies year to year. To be on a safe side, it is better for to score above 80 percentile in the Jee exam.
