NIT Trichy All Questions

Well, here is something that you can do to get a better sense of career prospects in those areas after M.Tech from IITs/NITs

First search for VLSI on LinkedIn dot com (I am not able to post the url as you will be asked to login first) and add filter for school names, mentioning several IITs and NITs. 

Now check-out the profile of people who are getting listed and see if they have done M.Tech and which company they are working in or have worked in past for VLSI. I got some results from 1st page itself:

1) NIT Karnataka, Presently working in Open Silicon, Inc.

2) IIT Kanpur, Atmel Corporation

3) IIT Delhi, CVC Ltd

4) IIT Madras, Wipro

5) IIt Kanpur, Wipro

With this limited research, I can say two things:

1) There are good career opportunities for VLSI 

2) There is good career progression for people who did M.Tech from VLSI from IITs / NITs - from the search result I found people moving to senior designations quickly. 

I also know the companies who have hired M.Tech in VLSI from NITs and IITs. Now the next question is, which of these companies visited IITs in last 2-3 years - that should be available on the websites of the colleges. I can also connect with some of the people I found and simply ask them.

The rank calculation depends on the difficulty of the paper and which slot you have given the paper .

If you want to get nit trichy ece department then according to me the safe score will be around 140-160 so that the seat can be fixed otherwise you may have to go to special rounds .

This time the ranks are not so good on very good marks unlike the previous years so this range will do it for u according to me.

As you have said that you are not so much worry about which branch will you get in nit Trichy. With 95.04 percentile in OBC category. If you said rank then it was easier to say which branch you would get . 

Well if I see previous year rankings then it maximum upto 9000 in home state quota and upto 6000 in other state quota.

So if you have under this rank then you are eligible for it .

See it's really hard to predict the percentile from the ranks or rank from percentile. Because there are several factors considered for getting a rank. 

Well for admission in nit Trichy in mechanical branch being female category. You need to get rank under 17000 in general category for home state and under 6500 in general category for other state.

According to the census , IIT indore is new and hence the companies that visit are less as compared to others.

But as you know that IIT is always good than NIIT . but this totally depends upon you.

As if you get an IIT than its not necessary for you to go for placement. As you can get a job anyway. So if you go by fame , then IIT is best .

See you want to get a seat in NIT TRICHY Mechanical branch. Congrats. Well you are OBC NCL candidate and above that you are fromhome state and also you are female candidate. 

If i see previous year closing rank then mechanical branch closed on 5238 rank in round 7. If you have under this rank then you are eligible to get a seat in nit trichy. One thing , one can never predict percentile from rank. See the rank.

Well getting CSE in NIT Trichy. It is a thing which everyone is not able to achieve it. Only few succeed in getting it. Previous year for NIT Trichy the closing rank in round 7 went upto 1407 for home state and upto 350 for other state.

So in order to get a rank like this one need to score around 99% , more than 99. And one thing more one cannot predict rank from percentile or percentile from rank. But if your son has rank below the above mentioned rank then congrats you got a seat in NIT Trichy.

Yes it is possible what you are saying, you have marks of 170 in b arch jee mains paper 2. Being a sc candidate. Their is a fair chance that you will get NIT TRICHY by round 2 or round 3. Well if you have rank under 250-260 for home state and under 160 for other state then it is possible for you to get a seat in NIT Trichy.

Yes it is possible because there is a 50 percent quota for home state students and 50 percent seats for all other states students so definitely the cutoff rank will be higher for home state students but for the nit allahabad and jaipur the case is reverse due to high population of aspirant there.

Weel it is right that in NIT TRICHY if you don't take admissions in Mtech course then your money is refunded by the college. You need to visit the official website. Their college will release a notice regarding the refund. You need to fill up the form for the refund and then send to the given address as instructed. You will get your refund amount.
