I see that you scored around 91.59 percentile in JEE mains paper 2 . You are obc-ncl category and you want to go for architecture in nit Trichy. But let me remind you that your percentile is very less. So your rank will be way too much than required rank for admission in nit Trichy.

I see that you have got 97 percentile then if I calculate your rank will be around somewhere 3500 which is too much although you are home state and female candidate. Your rank is way too much than the required rank in nit Trichy.

See as you are from sc category and you got 77 percentile. But you should be saying your rank. At the time of writing this question , JEE mains results were out earlier. So you are having the rank with you. 

I would suggest you to go and visit josaa website and see previous 2 to 3 years closing rank of nit Trichy . It will give you an idea that by how much will rank increase this year. You will know there better rather than asking questions here as you are determined to go for nit Trichy.

I am very sorry but it's very tough for you to get admission in NIT Trichy because it requires really high rank. You can try for other colleges. However, fill the coices as you want it to be because the counseling process can be really unpredictable at times.

but the seat accodamtion is very difficult for your daughter as the rank cut off

for the NIT trichy is not satisfied by the rank your daughter secured

even though you belong home state there is no chance to get in

please dont hurt your daughter as everyone has their interests and talents

You mentioned your rank is 55,404 in the obc ncl category.Acoording to the previous year cut off trends and the opening and closing ranks of both the institutes, I regret to inform you that your rank is too high to secure a seat in mechanical engineering as the closing rank was 41k last year even for home state.

Obviously you should go for IIT Dhanbad Mathematics and Computing over NIT Trichy Computer Science and Engineering.

Especially if you are from north then you would be much more comfortable at IIT Dhanbad. The IIT tag is far bigger than NIT tag and IIT Dhanbad has improved tremendously after getting the IIT conversion and even before it was a well established institute. 

These days Mathematics and computing students are getting better placement oppurtunities as compared to plain computer science graduates.

Congratulations for this much rank. Coming to your query, you are eligible to get admission in B. Arch in NIT trichupalli, NIT calicut, MNIT jaipur, NIT Kharagpur by your ews rank. But not eligible by your general rank. So go with your reservation rank to secure NIT Tiruchirappalli.

i see that you have 207 rank under obc-ncl-pwd category , which seems to be good.

And as you are from tamil nadu,so you are also home state.

You have a fair chance of getting cse, me, production. Previous year they had seats in these branches only. Cse closed for 207 rank.

So see your branch. then decide. 

You can also go to josaa to see that whether which college you are applicable for.

I see that you have quite a decent rank in sc category. And you want to take csee in nit trichy.

I considered last year closing rank and then  i can say that, considering you are other state candidates. it will be quite hard for you to get cse in nit trichy. Previous year round 7 closed on 188 rank, so if the rank increases this year , then you have the possibility of getting cse in round 7.

But if you are home state then you will easily get cse.
