Hello aspirant

hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that persuing chemical engineering from top 6 iit would be a better option as I always say to choose college over branch as brand value leads to more number of good companies in college and increase chances your placement . At placement student of all branches get equal number of opportunities ,recuriter sees your coding skills not your branch

Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future

Hello,

The placements of CSE and Chemical/Core branches differ and that is because of the industry demands you will not be able to find any college where a chemical department offers CSE level placements other than the highly prestigious ones e.g ICT,IITB,IITD,IITK,IIITM. In your situation I can suggest you two things here if you want good placements:

  • Go for chemical engineering at VNIT because it will offer you a core branch for future scopes and broader avenues additionally you will also get a top NIT whereas minning being a new branch might not offer you same opportunities.
  • Upskill yourself while you are in colleges through online courses, seminars, conferences. Stay updated about the advancements in technology because multiple organisations look for chemical engineers for Data Analyst roles.

Good luck, hope it helps!!

Hello Aspirants,

Hope you doing well, I think if it's totally depends on you like what actually you want in which field you have more intrest but acc to me if you are good to go with cse then you should prefer cse in nit Nagpur see ece and it is also a good branch but the scene is if there is 100 company visiting in your college so all the 100 company will allow the cse branch student to appear but in case of ece and it there are some company which do not allow like you can say there are 20% companies which are not allowing other branches. And nit nagpur is comes under top nits and according to last year the average package of cse branch was 11.8 lakh and nit nagpur have a great coding culture and there alumi base is also strong one of them is a president of jaguar company so yeah you will get so many opportunities

Hello Student..

Metallurgical Engineering at NIT Rourkela may be a suitable choice if you are not interested in CSE. In addition to Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering is one of the most student-friendly branches with a well-structured curriculum.

The course is designed in such a way that you have adequate time to learn new skills and master new technologies while still staying on track with the curriculum. Second, as one of the older technical institutes, NIT Rourkela offers a vibrant campus life and culture, as well as superb infrastructure, faculty, and research facilities. Regular recruiters include GE Aviation, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Motors, Jindal Stainless, Reliance, and Hindalco.

ROUKELA NIT Being close to mineral-rich regions of Odisha and Jharkhand adds to the training and placement opportunities. If you are serious about CSE, though, you should choose IIIT Sricity above NIT Rourkela.

Hi

Your profile suggests that your home state is Maharashtra,

It's quite difficult to predict because cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

******number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

****** number of available seats,

****** performance of different students in the examination,

****** the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>> With 67831  rank

You have low chance in NIT Nagpur and IIIT pune.

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020,

--------) Under Home state , NIT Nagpur cut off/closing rank  was 48359  rank  and it was for mining engineering for gender female general category.

--------) IIIT Pune cut off was 25897 rank and it was for ECE

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

But yes,

You have chances in GFTIs like

-------) National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Sonepat, Haryana :- Food Technology and Management

-------) Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology:- Food Technology

And a few more

This prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Hello

According to ranking's NIT Warangal is good than Vnit Nagpur. But it's your choice the field in which you are interested not the college because both are NIT's and ranking doesn't matter in learning.

You are interested in programming then you can go for Vnit Nagpur and if you are interested in Electronics and Communication then you can go for Nit Warangal.

I hope you find this helpful
