With an AIR of 11,300 in CLAT and your excellent predicted score of 580+/600 in your 12th boards , you have a good chance of getting admission to SASTRA University for the BA LLB program, though admission is not solely based on CLAT. SASTRA University has its own admissions process for the BA LLB program, which may include a merit-based selection (based on your board marks) and CLAT scores as well. Since you're a resident of Trichy , you may also be eligible for local preference in some cases, which could further increase your chances. It’s advisable to check the official SASTRA University admission guidelines to confirm if your CLAT rank and board marks meet their cutoff for this year, and ensure you apply on time.

Since SASTRA has a reputation for a solid law program, make sure to complete the application process on their official portal and stay updated on any specific admission criteria or deadlines.

SASTRA University's School of Law offers 60 seats each in its three undergraduate law programs: BA LLB (Hons.), B.Com LLB (Hons.), and BBA LLB (Hons.). Admission is based on CLAT scores and fulfilling other eligibility criteria.

You have very less scope of getting ECE with an AIR rank of 1000+ in SASTRA. Every year the trend changes and the cut-offs of CSE and ECE will be varying. But mostly the cut-off rank for ECE will fall in the range of 400-500%. The combined score of all students will be used to determine the SASTRA Rank (Stream 1) and admission will be based on the SASTRA Rank secured. Stream 2 Admission: Applicants under Stream 2 will be admitted based on their normalized aggregate +2 or its equivalent marks. This is for 30% of the total seats. Electronics and Communications Engineering is one of the most popular branches of engineering which involves researching, designing, developing, testing and maintaining of electronic equipment.

Hi

hope you doing well

Your chances of getting CSE at SASTRA University with 91.4 percentile in JEE Mains and 84.6% in CBSE board are moderate but not guaranteed, as admission to SASTRA is highly competitive , especially for the CSE branch.

Sastra admission criteria depends on the more weight to your JEE Mains percentile (75%) and 12th grade percentage (25%) when preparing their merit list for admission.

As your 91.4 percentile in JEE Mains, you may still have a shot, but the exact chances depend on the overall applicant pool. If not CSE, you might get a seat in related branches like IT or ECE.

Hi there,

Hope you are doing fine.

To know about the colleges that you can get at this rank, you can visit the official  website of the josaa and the csab counselling authority and then check the previous year cutoff and the opening and closing rank to know about the colleges which you can get there.

The cutoff for the various colleges varies every year depending upon a  lot of factor like the the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and the number of seats available.

You can also take the help of our official college predictor which is specifically designed  by our experts to give you an idea  about the colleges which you can get at this rank. The link of the predictor is mentioned below:

Hello Aspirant,

In Sastra University the admission is done on the basis of scores obtained in jee mains and 12th scores.

As per your scores you have fair chances of getting core branches like mechanical, electrical, civil branches. But this is as per the previous year trends . There are certain factors such as number of candidates appearing in the counselling, previous year cutoffs and number of seats available in the college which determines the current year cut offs.

But you can be assured that you will get any of these branches.

Dear Aspirant,

Sorry to say but you will not be able to get a seat.

It always depends on the competition for the seats at SASTRA. Sometimes you might, Sometimes you can’t. Below is the counseling status:

Let me share the counseling statuses in 2017. I secured AIR 1333 under stream 1. I had a friend whose AIR was 450 under stream 1. He was called on the first day-first session. I was called on the second day-first session. Now, let me be accurate, each session is conducted for 600 students and 2 sessions like this happen per day.

  1. In the first session(his session), only 100 out of 600 came to the counseling. All of them took CSE and left.
  2. But after my friend's session (i.e 2nd session), nearly 300–400 out of the next 600 members came to the counseling, taking away CSE, ECE, and IT, leaving behind some EEE and Mechanical seats.

Now, here’s the data after day 1 counseling regarding the number of seats left in various departments. These results were made available on the sastra website after day-1 counseling was over.

CSE : 0

ECE : 0

IT : 0

ICT: 4

EEE: 22

EYE: 37

Mech: 41

Civil: 48

Aerospace: 30

Biotech: 36

Chemical: don't remember

Mechatronics:20

Now, On day 2,  I can guarantee that 80 people went up for choice filling but only 20–30 people chose their seats because the others wanted only CSE or ECE and hence they left without choosing. The next 100 ( i.e., from 1300–1400) were called in groups of 27 and they were given choices to choose from.

EEE: 8

Mechanical: 10

Mechatronics: 16

EI: 36

Civil: 46

Aerospace: 30

Biotech: 36

Chemical: don't remember

EEE ends by 1100 and ECE by 700–800, and CSE by 400. But that day was different, somehow the odds were in my favor.

Extra Info: Here are some seat details I would like to give from what I have heard from others,

EEE was there until 1400 appx. ( my other friend was 1393 and chose EEE)

Mech was there until 1405–1410 ( I heard some parents getting disappointed when their child was just a few ranks from where Mechanical was over).

Mechatronics was there until 1550–1600.

and the rest, I just don't know…. :)

hope SASTRA aspirants find this informative. Don't take this year’s counseling for granted, these seats can vary next year.. who knows, maybe all core branches can get over by 1000.. several people who attend the counseling matter your result the most because’ the seats they choose affect your decision.

Feel free to ask more questions.

All The Best.
