STARS is a scholarship or support scheme for rural students of Tamil Nadu. This scheme was started by VIT in the year 2008. VIT STARS Scheme helps these students from underprivileged backgrounds by giving them a 100% fee waiver for their academic and hostel facilities including basic medical expenses.
Candidates should have Maths, Physics and Chemistry subjects in Class 12th.
This VIT scholarship under the STARS Scheme is limited to one student in a family.
The annual income of the family should be below Rs 1,50,000.
Top 10 boys and girls from rural government schools are shortlisted for the STARS scheme (Government Schools located under Corporation, Municipality, Town panchayat limits are not eligible).
Such identified District toppers will be called for an interview based on marks secured in their Higher Secondary examination. Among them, one male and one female student will be admitted, after the results are published.
Final admissions to the STARS scheme will be decided by the VIT Management.
The UHET was established under the leadership of G. Hello,
Based on previous years' cutoff , VIT Business School typically requires an NMAT score in the 75-80 percentile range for MBA admissions. An NMAT score of 206 may correspond to a percentile below this range, potentially affecting your chances.
Your current NMAT score is below the typical cutoff, but a strong overall application can still enhance your chances of receiving a call from VIT for the MBA program.
Hope it helps !
Hello Greetings
The VIT cutoff for M.Tech in Mechanical/CAD/CAM varies based on several factors, including the number of seats available, the number of applicants, and the difficulty level of the examination.
To give you a better idea, here are some cutoff ranks for M.Tech programs at VIT from previous years:
- *Mechanical Engineering*: 19500 (2016) and 19000 (2015)
- *CAD/CAM*: No specific cutoff ranks available, but the cutoff for Mechanical Engineering can be used as a reference
Keep in mind that these cutoff ranks are subject to change and may not reflect the current year's cutoff. The admission cut off marks for M.Tech programs at VIT are determined by the university and are typically released after the declaration of results .
It's also worth noting that admission to M.Tech programs at VIT is based on the candidate's score in the VIT Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) or GATE. Candidates with a valid GATE score are given preference .
