TANCET is a state-level examination, conducted by Anna University for the admission to post-graduation programmes like M.Tech, MBA, MCA and M.Arch in various colleges/institutes of Tamil Nadu. The eligibility criteria for it's MBA program are-

1.10+3 years Diploma +3 years pattern with at least 50% marks

2. Or 10+2+3/4 years pattern in B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm 

3.10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.

The tentative date for the start of the admission form is expected to be released by 30th April and the exam for TANCET MBA 2019 is expected to be held on 19th May. Good Luck!

Considering the previous year cut off marks for Chemical Engineering (SS) in AC Tech, the opening marks and closing marks for Chemical Engineering (SS) under OC category is 176 and 198.75 respectively. So it seems that your TNEA rank is very much sufficient to get admission in Chemical Engineering (SS) in AC Tech Anna University.

With your above mentioned rank, it'll be quite tough to get admission in governmment aided colleges as there previous cutoffs trends were reportedly higher.

I'll suggest you to wait till the final rounds of counselling as it nay have slight chances to fetch you a seat in any of the government aided college.

Congrats on your TANCET mark. The admission for you in Anna University, College of Engineering depends on the category you belong. Based on their previous year cut-off and other factors. If you belong to ST and SC category you have chances of getting admission in College of Engineering, Guindy. It would be difficult for you if you belong to other category.
