2. BITS Pilani, Goa Campus (ECE Cutoff - 322 , EEE Cutoff - 310 )

Although, you have low probability to get chance at ECE or EEE, you have good opportunity to grab a seat at other streams such as Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Still if you are looking to take admission to IIT,  you must withdraw within one week so that you will get back half of tuition fees of first semester. At first you can't compare VIT to other colleges like Amity. You didn't mentioned the year he got placed, times have changed and the placements at VIT for CSE are unmatched with exception of BITS. Vellore institute of technology ranks 15 in the nirf engineering rankings and one can't get such high ranks until it excells in each domain.

Vellore institute of technology, Vellore has an average package between 7-8 lacs currently for CSE that will definitely touch 9+ by end of four years. Last year some the top companies hiered 120+ engineering graduates with super dream packages like Microsoft 44,00,000 AppDynamics 39,20,000 D.E.SHAW 35,25,000 UDAAN 35,00,000 WorkIndia 35,00,000 Cloudera 31,33,000 Amazon 29,50,000 Motorq 26,00,000 Morgan Stanley 25,30,000 PayPal 23,80,000 WellsFargoEGS India 20,00,000.

Even the biggest mass recruiter Wipro had an average package 6.5 lacs. So your conception is not true and it is the labour you put which decides the package you will grab.

No, I dont think you should go for further iterations in BITSAT Counselling with a Score of 226. Atleast having scored 240-260, would be still worth a try sitting till the last iteration. Of course, you may secure B.Pharm, incase youre tareting that at either of the Campuses of BITS Pilani. Otherwise, the lowest Cutoff in 2020, was BITS Hyderabad was anywhere around 240 for M.Sc. in Biological Science and Chemistry as well as B.E. Civil and Chemical.

Ideally, if you take M.Sc. Economics now at BITS Pilani Campus and are able to convert into BE CSE or EEE, the following year with Dual Degree in Economics, thats a win-win situation. If youre Academically strong and confident, as well as Pilani is in Vicinity of your Hometown, or youre anywhere from the Central/Northern Part of India, prefer BITS Pilani. Otherwise, incase youre good to go with EEE, BITS Goa Electrical is a Nice Option with Good Placements, youll even end up saving a year.
