The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, popularly known as BITS Pilani, was established in 1964.

BITS Pilani enjoys healthy placement drives. Almost 90 percent of its students get placed in top companies.

Bits Pilani is a privately funded institution unlike the IIT's and the NIT's. So the fees is higher than these government aided colleges.

BITS being a private college, is expensive to study in. The fees comes between 1lakh to 2 lakh a semester depending on the campus.

There are seven semesters in BTech in BITS.

Apart from entrance exams of BITS, SRM, VIT, etc., There are a number of entrance exams across India for engineering courses. Some of them are - COMEDK UGET, MET, AP EAMCET, KIITEE, WBJEE, MHTCET etc.,

The cut off of GATE score BITS pilani goes usually has higher than the campuses located at the other regions.For Goa campus the cut off for GATE is usually around 650-700 range for electronics communication branch and for pilani it is slightly higher than Goa.

The admission Fee is Rs. 39,800 & the fee for 1st semester is Rs. 1,78,000/- (This is only the sem fee and doesn't include hostel charges and other charges).

BITS PILANI don't offer admission on the basis of JEE MAINS. In order to take admission in BITS PILANI you have to go for BITSAT.

• Summer term is 69,600/- ( only if applied)
