Your overall aggregate in B.Tech might cause some minor problems for you as some of the IITs eligibility criteria clearly states that a minimum of 55-60% is required. Some IITs like IIT Guwahati and Kharagpur have stated minimum percentage required to be 55%. You must not lose hope. Aim for a high score in GATE.

I'm assuming he is from the general category. To be honest it would be difficult for him to get a core branch. Most probably he would end up getting the following branches:

• DTU Polymer Science and Chemical Technology
• DTU Bio-Technology
• DTU Environmental Engineering

I would still suggest you to apply for spot round as cutoffs tend to fall drastically in spot round. It can't be predicted. Keep checking the official website for other information.

Hello Vikrant. This year for the first time ews category has introduced , so there is no previous years data available. For mechanical stream is not possible at this score even for spot round as it is one of the demanding stream in India right now. However you can hope for other streams on spot round. Good luck with your admission.

The closing rank for electrical engineering at dtu for electrical engineering for 2018 was 29998. You can defnitely get a seat here.
The closing rank for ece at nsut for 2018 (delhi region) was 19564.
If you are from outside delhi region, you won't get a seat here.

For a general category student, your rank is very high to get admission through JAC Delhi. JAC has the colleges top colleges and universities in Delhi except for IITs and NITs so the cutoff is pretty high. You might get in if you have Delhi home state quota or some special category rank.

Yes you can freeze your seat by paying seat acceptance fee .

Yes it is important to freeze your seat before spot round other wise you may loose your seat .

You can pay the fee acceptation and report  .

If you wish to upgrade the seat you can choose float option .
