Dearr Alia,

Well, the choice is very simple here - IIIT Hyderabad.

I will be surprised if someone recommends something else.

  • If you are just considering Computer Science, the only colleges better than IIIT H would be the old 5 IITs (that too because of the students there)
  • The quality of research and professors in IIIT H is far more superior than the other colleges you have mentioned.
  • If you are planning to do an MS, the environment and exposure you will receive in IIIT H is going to be far more superior than DTU, NSIT or IIIT Delhi.
  • Placement statistics of IIIT H is comparable to CS placements of the old 5 IITs . Be it programming contests, Google Summer of Code, jobs at Facebook, Google,Uber, Tower research , Microsoft- Name any of the IT giants of the world or any coding contest, IIIT H students are right there competing against the best of the best.
  • You are too young to decide for an MBA. There are very good chances that after a degree in Computer Science , you might not need an MBA after all. A class 12 child deciding to do an MBA is very immature in my opinion. Explore and understand what an undergraduate program is going to offer you before deciding about a graduate program.
  • The only reason for not joining IIIT H would be that you absolutely hate coding !

Hope I have made myself clear.
Best Wishes!

hello aspirant,

see this year for the first time ews category has introduced , so there is no previous years data available. however for mechanical stream is not possible at this score even for spot round as it is one of the demandin stream n india right noe. however ypu can hope for automobile stream on spot round.

Hi ! You can check in their official websites because it is given in their website. Since you haven't specified any stream so I will give you the range of rank in which they have validity. The range of rank is 3000-8000. So, be clear about it. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.

Hello,

In these cases, the article writer is also human and there are numerous counseling process going on simultaneously. Thus the fees might have been not updated. In these cases, you should always consult the official website first and then consult other 3rd party websites. The best possibilities are that the article you visited in other sites is outdated. I recommend you to always go for the official college website first and then visit these for mere confirmation.

Thank You

Hello,

As a Delhi student, the closing rank is really low for some branches and you can easily get some branch in DTU or NSIT due to Delhi Quota. Mathematics and Computing is one of the branches closely related to CSE and thus attracts large packages which is the driving factor for a lot of students to choose these branches. According to last year cutoffs, your chances of getting Mathematics and Computing is very less. You should still go for the spot round and try your luck. Also, since the branches in IIIT D are top ones, there is very less chance in it too.

Thank You

Hello aspirant,
According to previous year statistics, you have chances of getting electrical in dtu but in spot round,
Previous year the cut off rank in the last round that is round 6 was around 30k for electrical branch, and in the spot round it went to 40k for Delhi candidate.
So, do apply for the spot round for getting electrical branch.
Hope it helps.

DTU is considered good in terms of college environment and placements. So it must be having good scope in manufacturing process and automation Engineering too. Just search on google about stats or contact some senior who are in placement cell of the college.

Hi Vikrant,

This year, JAC Delhi will only conduct 4 Rounds and then a final Spot Round for filling up vacant seats in NSIT, DTU, IIIT, and IGDTUW.

Now, so far the cutoff till Round 3 has been declared.

If you look at the cutoff rank of DTU, Delhi for EWS (Delhi) candidates, it is 33,313 for Mech with Automobile branch.

EWS category has been introduced in JAC Delhi for the first time, so there are no previous cutoffs you can look for any sort of reference.

But, in my opinion, the cutoff for Round 4 will increase till 40,000.

And, then you will have to wait and hope that it goes above 50,000 in the Spot Round so that you can get a seat in your desired branch.

Otherwise, you can definitely get some other branch in DTU.

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!!

Hello Vikrant, No, I don't think you would be able to get mechanical with specialization in automobile course at this rank. The 2018 closing rank for the spot round was 41,091 for this course. You might want to chose other courses like Engineering Physics, Production and Industrial Engineering which had cutoff above 55,000 for the Delhi region candidates.

Hi Saurabh,

JAC Delhi will only conduct 4 rounds this year and a final spot round for filling any vacant seats.

Based on the JAC Delhi 2018 SC category (Outside Delhi) cutoff of DTU, Delhi after Round 4, you can get all the branches apart from Computer Engineering (COE).

So far, the cutoff till Round 3 has been declared and if you look at it, you can basically get all the branches apart from COE.

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!!
