Hy aspirant,

Yes, you are eligible to apply for SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) exam based on your B.Tech degree from DTU (Delhi Technological University), even if it was completed through an evening course. SSC CGL eligibility criteria require candidates to have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or institution. DTU is a well-recognized university, and as long as your B.Tech degree is from an accredited program at DTU, you fulfill the educational qualification required for SSC CGL.

Hello Aspirant

No, with a B.Voc Software Development degree, you wouldn't be directly eligible for an M.Tech program in colleges like DTU, NIT, NSUT, IIIT, or DU (assuming they follow the standard eligibility criteria) even if you clear GATE.

Here's why:

  • M.Tech Eligibility: Most M.Tech programs require a four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) or a related field like Computer Science (B.Sc. CS).
  • B.Voc vs. B.Tech: While a B.Voc degree is valuable, it's typically considered on par with a diploma or an advanced B.Sc. degree in terms of academic rigor.

However, there are still options for you to pursue postgraduate studies in software development:

  1. M.Sc. in Computer Science: You could explore universities offering M.Sc. programs in Computer Science, which may be more open to B.Voc graduates.
  2. M.Tech through GATE (Lateral Entry): Some institutes offer M.Tech programs through GATE with lateral entry for students with a diploma or equivalent qualifications. You'd need to check with individual institutes for their specific eligibility criteria.
  3. PG Diploma in Software Development: You could consider pursuing a PG Diploma in Software Development to enhance your skills and potentially boost your profile for future opportunities.
