Hello,

Admission to Under Graduate Engineering courses in Delhi Technological University is based on All India Rank in JEE Main. Last year the cut off was follows for admission in to DTU for OBC category (Delhi Region) in round 9 of JAC counselling

  • Information Technology: 68648

Considering the previous year cut off you need to score minimum 93-96 percentile or above in JEE Main for that you need to score minimum 110-130 marks or more in JEE Main. Cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

Hi

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in DTU as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 9 of jac counselling 2020, for obc category  to get  Mathematics and Computing,   99556 was closing crl  rank for delhi region student in DTU.

You can check the same at

https://cache.careers360.mobi/media/uploads/froala_editor/files/1608643929phpfepjgf.pdf

And 99556 rank is roughly around 91- 92 percentile i. e around  90 marks as per our rank predictor at

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So, you must target at least 90 marks.

Now, limited time is left for jee mains 2021 for remaining sessions , so focus on your preparation, to prepare well for your jee examination, go through chapters first and your focus should be on grasping concepts , practising questions and then revising them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

I would suggest you to pursue MTech from DTU CSE. DTU is one of the best Technical Institutions for CSE in Delhi NCR after IITD. The CSE Department has strong faculty, infrastructure as well as good Placements for MTech. Being located near Technology and IT Hubs of Delhi NCR provide huge scope and impetus to training and placements.

IIT Jammu is still in its nascent years and DTU CSE has a much stronger Academic, Professional and Employer Outlook.

Dear Aspirant, now between these you'll  have to consider various factors in short term & long term such as your interest, placements, scope of this sector , location, fees... DTU is govt. college whereas Army Institute of Technology, Pune (AIT) is private college. Fees for AIT 4 year course is nearly 6.1 lakhs and that of DTU is nearly 7.81lakhs.Median salary package offered in AIT is nearly around 6.5 lakhs and that in  DTU is 9 lakhs. Here is more detailed analysis of comparison between these two :
