Hello,

You need to score the minimum cut off rank that is specified to get admission in a college. For admission in to DTU and NSUT the All India Rank (or Common Rank List) is considered within the category. The cut off rank is different for each branch and college so it is not possible to indicate a unique safe score. However, we can predict the range of marks which you should aim to score to get seat in the preferred Institutes. Analysing the previous year cut off trend you need to score minimum 120 -180 marks  marks to have decent chances of getting seat in  DTU or NSUT. For reference you can check the previous year cut off for the above mentioned Institutes in the link given below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jac-delhi-merit-list

Cut off changes every year depending on the number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

You can get the list of colleges in which you have chances of getting seat using our JEE Main college predictor tool

Hey aspirant,

I wouldn't be able to suggest you with which branch you should go for. As,this is a really important decision amongst the students. You should only go with that branch in which you feel you are more comfortable and interested. It's but obvious that you wouldn't want to waste your 4 years of life in studying something in which you are not at all interested.

But yes, i can compare both of these colleges for you -

DTU formerly known as delhi technical university and is ranked 34th in NIRF ranking. It is known amongst all the students and it's a great opportunity for a student to get a seat in this college. This college has highly equipped labs and the faculties are highly skillful. Also, the campus of this college is beautiful and amazingly infrastructured.the campus size is somewhere around 160 acres. Now, when we talk about the placement statistics of this college then the highest package offered till date is around 1.02crores and the average ranges around 11.7lpa.Every year approx more than 350+ mncs come to this college.

Whereas, IIITD is ranked 56th in NIRF ranking and known amomgst the crowd. But when we compare this college to DTU in terms of placement statistics then it has even more good placement statistics i.e, the highest package offered by this college is 1.5cr(international company) and 43lpa(domestic) whereas the average ranges around 14-16lpa.

Comparatively both the colleges are good, the choice is totally upon you and based on your priorities.

Hope it helps.

Hello Aspirant,

Yes of course you can do so. If you are seeking admission in any of the NITs/DTU/NSIT for their B.Tech course then first of all you have to appear for JEE-Main and kindly note that if you have appeared again for class 12th as regular candidate then your passing result will be considered but if you have repeated your class 12th as a private candidate then your passing year will be considered as of first attempt and according to it your attempts for JEE-Main will be considered. For JEE-Main 2021 the candidate should have passed class 12th in 2019 or later or the candidates appearing for their class 12th in this year are eligible to appear in JEE-Main 2021. This is because maximum number of attempt allowed for JEE-Main are 3 for three consecutive years which includes the passing year of class 12th.

There was percentage criteria to be eligible for admission to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs but due to the pandemic COVID-19 it has been waived off from this year so if you are only pass in your all subjects of class 12th then also you can go for NITs/IIITs/CFTIs or for JEE-Advance if you qualify JEE-Main.

This year JEE-Main is being conducted with slight changes in it's pattern and it's conduction and you can check out all the changes from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well

As you haven't mention your category, It is important to mention the category because different category have different cutoffs. Assuming that you are from general category, according to your percentile your rank is between 20164 - 16084. according to previous year cutoff you have less chance to get seat in JMI with CSE branch. Cutoff may vary every year, it depend on some factors like number of students appear in the exam, number of student qualify the exam, previous year cutoffs and difficulty level of exam. You may get seat in 4-5 round of counselling. At 4 - 5 round you may have chance to get seat in JMI University with CSE branch.

If you want to know more college that you may get at this percentile, I'm providing you our college predictor tool:-
