Hello Aspirant,

According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you have good chances of getting CSE or ECE into either of the NSUT(CSE is little bit difficult here) or DTU or IIIT Delhi as per previous year's cut-off. As cut-offs for this year is not declared yet so we can guide you on the basis of previous year's cut-offs.

For complete details about previous year's cut-offs refer the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jac-delhi-merit-list

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

However I would recommend you to use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict the chances of your admission in different colleges  based upon your percentile and category :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

I will suggest you selecting BioTech at DTU over HBTI Kanpur Polymer. DTU has excellent faculty, research facilities and infrastructure. BioTech is not that bad a branch. You have lot of opportunities in researcg and development in Bioengineering if you plan to pursue a Masters or Doctoral degree later on in future.

As far as the Non Core/Coding/Finance sector is concerned, you can definitely sit for them and crack them, provided you have excellent skills and determination to compete with your peers in other branches. DTU being located near IT Hubs at Noida and Gurgaon further provides the impetus for prospects in training and placement. Most of the MnCs and IT Companies recruit from DTU.

All the Best.

I am sorry to inform you that through the Examination DTU LEET admission in Computer science engineering(CSE) course isn't given.

The exam offer you lateral entry to the courses like:

  1. Biotechnology (BT)
  2. Engineering Physics (EP)
  3. Environmental engineering (ENE)
  4. Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (MAM)
  5. Polymer Science and Chemical Technology (PCT)

After successfully passing this exam you will get admission in the 2nd year (3rd semester) of the above mentioned course.

Hope my answer helps you. Have a great day!

Dear aspirant,

In Delhi technological University there is very less chance to get computer science.

But you can look for lower branches in dtu. Apart from this, you can also take part in josaa as there will be good chance for you to get any lower nits.

I hope this answer was useful to you.

Hello student,

It's difficult to predict the exact possibilities of admission. It depends upon the cut-off. Cut-off changes every year. It depends upon a lot of factors such as the exam pattern, the number of students appeared, the exam difficulty level, the highest score, whether you belong to any category or not. It also varies from state to state.

However, with 12120 NTA SC rank , you should get admission in DTU, NSU , this data is based upon Last year's cut-off. Last year the cutoff rank for electrical engineering was 25694 and for civil engineering it was 31521.

Hi there!

Reasons to join DTU/NSIT instead of IIIT-D:

Established Brand name.

Much of the CREAMY LAYER comes here.

You may not be totally comfortable being a computer programmer, and may wish to look for Non-tech/extra curricular activities.

You get ample free time apart from college to pursue WHICHEVER activity you want, be it MUN, DEBATING, DANCE, MUSIC, PROGRAMMING, SPORTS, READING, preparation for HIGHER STUDIES/MBA/IAS etc.

Few profs are highly into their respective fields and most profs give marks. Chilled out most of the times. Always ready to help.

The Cultural Fests are really once in a LIFETIME sort of events with amazing performances from other college students as well as Celebrities.

PLACEMENTS!!! PLACEMENTS!!! PLACEMENTS!!!

Reasons to join IIIT-D instead of DTU/NSIT:

High Internet (wifi/LAN) speed. DTU has wifi but slower speed, while NSIT only has wifi in and around a few labs.

Most profs are HIGHLY QUALIFIED in their fields and will help you relatively much more.

Fully A/C campus.

It’s raising the level every year and catching up fast with DTU/NSIT/new IITs’ standards in terms of placements. Students cross over often for internships/projects.

Really good place if you are slightly geekish and REALLY INTO CODING and TECH-RELATED STUFF.

Better place to go to if you wish to pursue Research Abroad in computers as much of the faculty are PHD’s and researchers from really good foreign universities.

Second best institute (after IIT-D) to pursue good quality Computer Science education in Delhi.

Even I was faced with this choice a year before. I’m pursuing IT at NSIT.

I don’t know how far or near is your home to any of these colleges and thus I didn’t comment on it. However most students including Delhiites get hostel room easily at NSIT.

Rest I leave to you.

Dear Aspirant

According to your percentile:

Your Rank based on category is: 57461 - 69611

Your Predicted Rank is: 184608 - 216758

Now as you have not mentioned that whether you are from Delhi or out side delhi. So I'm considering you as an outside delhi candidate.

You have very low chances of getting NSIT/DTU with this rank. So it's better that you should apply for state government colleges you might get seat there.

Also above prediction is based on previous year data and cut off changes every year So final results may vary.

You can use the following link to predict the colleges based on your rank:

Good Luck for future!!

Hii Aspirant,

The people who crack JEE with good rank and get good colleges don't just follow one their coaching institutes blindly.

They are self dependent. They learn everything step by step fron coaching institutes . But then they also do self studying. You may take coaching anywhere but self studying is the most important things. Don't just study in a day what they thought you. Whatever you have learned that day revise , practice questions from their modules , suppliments and whatever book you are referring to. See what kind of questions are asked from that topic or chapter. Practice previous year questions regarding it. The more you practice the better. See what is left and what is to be studied.

Don't depend only on the institute. Be self dependent. Study from institute and then study again by yourself and practice questions. Following only the institute will not give you very good marks.

All the best
