Quite Good College with decent college life

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The college's infrastructure presents a commendable blend of modernity and tradition. Some buildings are old and some are newly built with modern architecture. The hostels are newly built and are fully conditioned. i rate it as 4 out of 5.

    Academics

Academics are average. the teachers have outdated mindsets and basically teach based on old methodology. The curriculum needs to be updated as the experiments are based on old method like sieve is used for particles size analysis.

    Placements

the placements are quite good and around 96% of total students get placed. This college has quite a good peer group for placements and other govt exams too. The average salary is around 12 LPA. The highest package is around 1crore.

I'm studying MBA from DTU because I want to have good career opportunities ahead which MBA provides with. The quality of teaching is very good in our college and curriculum is also updated which makes us job ready.

    Placements

The placements are average in our college. Almost around 60 percent of students get placed every year. Average package ranges 7-8 LPA Highest salary package was of MBA HR. Overall it is good and improving.

    Value for Money

My course costs me 2.29 lakhs for a year which is very less as compared to other colleges which is offering MBA. As MBA is expensive course still you can do this in 5 lakhs makes it worth and very affordable.

    Campus Life

Campus of Delhi Technological University is very big. It is around 164 acres. And campus life is also exciting. There are various activities in which students can engage into such as basketball, cricket etc.

My college experience has been good so far.

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is pretty good as far as classrooms , benches are concerned. Classrooms are fully air conditioned and there is space for everyone to sit comfortably. However, sports facilities are yet to be developed.

    Academics

Teachers are very hardworking and ensure that concepts are cleared. Class environment remains friendly and comfortable and conducive for all students. Every student is given attention. Teachers are very professional and serious about classes.

    Placements

Companies are slow to come. They are mostly for Btech students. Sometimes, package is also not suitable for an undergraduate student. Most of the students apply for higher education like MA or MBA or think of moving abroad.

    Value for Money

It is more expensive compared to top DU colleges but cheaper than private universities.

    Placements

We don't get much placement opportunities. Most of the placement opportunities are for BTech students only. Out of 180 students only 10-20 students got placed. We got two placement opportunities till now, both from main campus.

    Value for Money

The fees for Economics Honors at DTU is five times more than Economics honors at DU's North campus colleges.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of college is excellent. You will find bunch of buildings with air conditioning. The campus is full of greenary. Canteen is good and somewhere economical. Wifi is there but its not good enough. Library is excellent there.

    Academics

As i am student of chemical department. The teachers are very chill there. Also they will provide with you the notes and you can study on your own as well (most of students practice this lol!). The curriculum is somewhere old.

    Placements

The placements at DTU are excellent. The tech sector offers highest paying jobs for dtu students but with a cache that you must of a tech brach like computer science information technology etc. But if you are from core branch then you to maintain a good gpa to be eligible of tech placement which a few company offers.

    Value for Money

Yaa college is value for money. Total b Tech chemical engineering costs nearby 8-10 lakh ( A million rupees).

    Campus Life

Campus Life is amazing. You will be exploring different societies and groups in the college.

Have a question related to DTU Delhi ?

Hi, I have met all eligible criteria to get a seat in DTU. My schooling is from Delhi and my caste certificate is from Harayana, so just wanted to check if it comes under 85% seat allocation criteria (School from Delhi) and there shouldn't be a problem if my caste cert. from other state than delhi

85% Seat Allocation for Delhi Candidates : DTU reserves 85% of its seats across programs, including B.Tech, BBA, and MBA, for candidates who have completed their qualifying education—such as Class 12 for undergraduate courses or a Bachelor’s degree for MBA—from a recognized institution located in Delhi. Given that your schooling is from Delhi, you fulfill this criterion and are eligible for the Delhi quota. This reservation policy prioritizes you over out-of-state candidates, who compete for the remaining 15% of seats, thereby enhancing your chances of securing admission.

Validity of Caste Certificate from Haryana : Your caste certificate from Haryana is valid for claiming reservation benefits at DTU, provided it is issued by a competent authority and adheres to the Government of India’s guidelines for categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, or ST. DTU, as a state university, accepts caste certificates from other states for reservation purposes, so your certificate should not pose any issue, assuming it aligns with the category you’ve applied under. For instance, if applying under OBC-NCL, the certificate must be recent (typically issued within the last year) and reflect your status on the Central OBC list. The 85% Delhi quota is determined solely by your schooling location, not the state of issuance of your caste certificate, so this aspect does not impact your eligibility for the quota.

MBA-Specific Eligibility at DTU : If you are applying for DTU’s MBA program, the eligibility criteria include a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission typically requires a valid CAT score, followed by a counseling process or an interview. As a Delhi candidate, you fall under the 85% quota, and your caste certificate can be utilized to avail reservation benefits, potentially easing cutoff requirements or prioritizing your seat allocation.

Mam/Sir I am comfortable with any branch of Btech. So which is a better option to choose.... Any branch in DTU or CSE in JSS Kindly guide

    Hello Aspirant,

If you are okay with any BTech branch and are open to a lot of other areas, then any branch at DTU is generally better than CSE at JSS. DTU (Delhi Technological University) has a good reputation, better campus, alumni network, and placement packages across branches, as well as internships and projects. Even if you don't get CSE at DTU, ECE, IT at DTU, or even mechanical can be good, and you would learn coding for example, or otherwise ease into this area through self-study coding platforms and internships.

If you are fully aware that you only want to do Computer Science and have a deep passion for programming from the start, then CSE at JSS can also be a decent option. However, overall DTU offers a better platform for your long-term career development and flexibility.

Has any tecnical branch comes cuet entrance exam in DTU

No, Delhi Technological University (DTU) does not use CUET for admissions to its B.Tech programs. DTU primarily relies on the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, with the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handling the process. CUET is used for admissions to other UG programs offered by DTU, such as BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.

    Elaboration:

    B.Tech Admissions:

DTU's B.Tech admissions are based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

    JAC Delhi:

The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handles the counselling and seat allocation process for B.Tech programs at DTU, along with other participating institutions like Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-Delhi (IIIT-D), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).

    CUET for Other Programs:

While JEE Main is the primary entrance for B.Tech, CUET is used for admission to other UG programs like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des at DTU.
