The college infrastructure is very good it has many New buildings which is fully air-conditioned.It has wifi facilities also. The labs are one of the best in Delhi it has all type of instruments advance level. The canteen is good but there is some hygiene issue and water is from water tank there is no RO.
In first year the subjects are common for all the students of different engineering branches. The subjects are maths, physics, Chem, basic mechanical engineering, basic electronics engineering. The Professor are highly qualified even some of are gold medalist professor. The curriculum is not matchable for today's generation it has to be changed for job ready.
The Best thing about DTU is his placement. The average package is around 15 lpa .The placement percentage is nearly about 97%. The placement here is of three types Tech ,Non-tech and core jobs. In tech coding related jobs were offer from companies like Flipkart, Zomato, Amazon, Google, Goldman Sachs etc.In non tech it is for consulting jobs like Data analyst, management and all.In core the branch specific jobs are offer like in Mechanical the company visit are Maruti Suzuki, tata etc.
The fees are too high as it is a Government college. The overall 4 years fees is approx 9.5 lakh.Yes there are some scholarship for high fee waiver but it has some eligibility criteria for applying the scholarship. Yes it is worth to pay this much amount of fees as it ha Google placements.
The campus life is good it has many societies in which student can easily grow his skills which he/she like it .The sports complex is very big and it has both indoor as well as outdoor sports facilities. The location is not good it is more in rural areas and the area is safe for mornings in night it is not safe .
My experience till now is excellent i am enjoying my college life both acadmically and non academically.
Excellent infrastructure , library, computer centre, multiple sports ground are available.Multiple canteens, mess with full cleanliness and hygiene are there. They are all used and cleaned everyday and are available for every student.
Excellent engineering opportunity from theory to practical everything is available one of the best teachers who are highly experienced and qualified are present. Practical and projects in each subject give students exposure to be job ready.
One of the top placements in the country. Almost 100 percent placement top branches highest package is 1cr+ for international and 50-60 lacs for domestic jobs. Average salary was around 15 lacs and top packages are mostly from tech sides.
Yes college have all the necessary infrastructure , facilities and equipment .There are many hostels. Recently new hostels have been made for both boys and girls. New academic building is also made for CSE,it,soe, mce, ece department.
Teachers are highly qualified. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. What you study will make you full prepared for the job.
Recently the international placement went to 1.8Cr and domestic was 64LPA. The average salary offered is around 15LPA. The college is very supportive in placement session and in internship session also .
Cost per year is around 2lakh
Huge campus with lots of greenery.
Infrastructure of the college is in good condition. Classrooms contain smart board, projectors & are fully air conditioning. Rooms & corridors are beautifully clean. But washrooms are not so clean everytime. Sports centre is very big in size & also contain every essential indoor games. The canteen is economic & is rich in taste. Laboratories for chemistry are not fully equipped essential chemicals. Hostel & all premises contain wifi facilities. Computer centre is new and have many computers, lapy
I am studying master's in Chemistry because I want to pursue higher education and go into research field in future. The teachers teach in good way. But some teachers do not take classes regularly. so, i am not fully satisfied with teaching. Syllabus is same as in University of Delhi but extra courses are included due to today's job demand as IPR, computer, green chemistry etc. So, the study is according to jobs sector point of view.
Placements are of generally B.Tech and M. Tech students. Because chemistry students generally go for higher education rather than placements. But in this college due to being of engineering College/University placement is available for masters student as well. Even my seniors got placed in reputed companies. Also teacher provided internships at DRDO during summer vacations. Now, a portal has been made for all college students for placements. This is a great initiative.
First year fee of my course M.Sc chemistry is 34 K approx. While 2nd year fee is 42k approx. I am not feeling my money is worth it because some teachers don't take classes on regular basis and also labs are not completely satisfied. But as I know my batch is 2nd batch of chemistry in this college. So, it will take time to equip the labs completely.
Campus Life is great as campus is very beautiful and big. Everyday there is some function either motivational, education, musical or other activities. Many societies are present in college. The college is known for its fest. It contains many beautiful canteens. And also contain a caffe. Library is beautifully designed in every manner. College contains many beautiful flowers. Hostel timing for girls are 11:30 pm. So it is pretty good to wander in night in campus. Campus have cute dogs & peackocks
College contains a health centre, in which doctors and medicines are all time available. Hygiene of health centre is better than any hospital. College focuses on mental health seriously. physciatarist is also available at health centre. A different cell is formed for psychologist. Hostels are new and beautiful. Food of mess is tasty and vary each day.
My college is very huge with many buildings and classrooms, big halls for conducting seminars, full wifi connectivity , air conditioning wherever required , sports ground which are huge again , smart boards for smart study and other things
I am studying btech in eee a not so go degree but teachers are good and helps us to do well in this difficult field which includes a lot of study of circuits , very few students are actually interested in eee branch so they focus on coding at home
The placements of dtu are amazing but for my branch they are not that good the average package is of 7 lakh per annum , but mostly go for either higher studies or focus on core side but still very few are able to get placed in eee related jobs
My college infrastructure is very amazing. Facilities of my college are amazing they provide AC libraries and great network of Wifi. College is well maintained. There are sport centers in my college. Living spaces are also clean.
Iam studying BA economics hons in my college. Quality of teaching is very good. Professors are friendly. Curriculum is updated and much better than Delhi University. I study a lot of practical knowledge that aims to get job in future
Placements are too good students get placed in top 5 companies like Pwc, EY, Deloitte. Average salary offered to our college students is 12 Lpa. My college is supportive. Placement process is very easy.
I pay 1 Lakh per year. I feel it's money worth. Because of the curriculum, infrastructure, activities. Professors are also good. Students are friendly in way of talking. Societies of our college is good.
Yes my college is safe and students, teachers are supportive. Students should engage in sports, societies and many more activities. Location is very nice. My college handles emergencies. Worst part I can't describe.
DTU's infrastructure is wonderful, separate buildings for different departments, well-equipped labs, 3-floored library, wonderful hostels and new buildings have been inaugurated recently for departments.
Teaching quality at DTU is wonderful, all professors are well qualified with very good teaching experience. Very good environment for people wanting to go to Research and Development. The environment for coders hee is also suitable.
Placements at DTU is outstanding. Last year placement percentage was 98.45%. The average salary was around 15 LPA and highest being 1.2Cr for BTech(COE). The university is very supportive when it comes to placement.
Frankly speaking, it's a good University for people looking on ROI. Per year fees for BTech is around 2.2Lakhs. The facilities we are getting in place of that is outstanding.
Campus Life at DTU is outstanding, being a hostelller, i can say this. There are numerous number of fests per year in the university, numerous number of technical fests too, seminars, workshops everything. Location of DTU is also perfect, it's around 3.5kms from Badli Railway Station.
Overall i would say, its one of the best university in India for people wanting to get success through engineering. And i recommend it to everyone aspiring to take admission here.
Dtu college has many good grounds a proper gym , well furnished classrooms with step sitting structure, projectors for modern teaching and many other modern equipment . The canteen food is amazing and there are many canteens

85% Seat Allocation for Delhi Candidates : DTU reserves 85% of its seats across programs, including B.Tech, BBA, and MBA, for candidates who have completed their qualifying education—such as Class 12 for undergraduate courses or a Bachelor’s degree for MBA—from a recognized institution located in Delhi. Given that your schooling is from Delhi, you fulfill this criterion and are eligible for the Delhi quota. This reservation policy prioritizes you over out-of-state candidates, who compete for the remaining 15% of seats, thereby enhancing your chances of securing admission.
Validity of Caste Certificate from Haryana : Your caste certificate from Haryana is valid for claiming reservation benefits at DTU, provided it is issued by a competent authority and adheres to the Government of India’s guidelines for categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, or ST. DTU, as a state university, accepts caste certificates from other states for reservation purposes, so your certificate should not pose any issue, assuming it aligns with the category you’ve applied under. For instance, if applying under OBC-NCL, the certificate must be recent (typically issued within the last year) and reflect your status on the Central OBC list. The 85% Delhi quota is determined solely by your schooling location, not the state of issuance of your caste certificate, so this aspect does not impact your eligibility for the quota.
MBA-Specific Eligibility at DTU : If you are applying for DTU’s MBA program, the eligibility criteria include a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission typically requires a valid CAT score, followed by a counseling process or an interview. As a Delhi candidate, you fall under the 85% quota, and your caste certificate can be utilized to avail reservation benefits, potentially easing cutoff requirements or prioritizing your seat allocation.
Hello Aspirant,
If you are okay with any BTech branch and are open to a lot of other areas, then any branch at DTU is generally better than CSE at JSS. DTU (Delhi Technological University) has a good reputation, better campus, alumni network, and placement packages across branches, as well as internships and projects. Even if you don't get CSE at DTU, ECE, IT at DTU, or even mechanical can be good, and you would learn coding for example, or otherwise ease into this area through self-study coding platforms and internships.
If you are fully aware that you only want to do Computer Science and have a deep passion for programming from the start, then CSE at JSS can also be a decent option. However, overall DTU offers a better platform for your long-term career development and flexibility.
No, Delhi Technological University (DTU) does not use CUET for admissions to its B.Tech programs. DTU primarily relies on the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, with the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handling the process. CUET is used for admissions to other UG programs offered by DTU, such as BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.
Elaboration:
B.Tech Admissions:
DTU's B.Tech admissions are based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
JAC Delhi:
The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handles the counselling and seat allocation process for B.Tech programs at DTU, along with other participating institutions like Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-Delhi (IIIT-D), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
CUET for Other Programs:
While JEE Main is the primary entrance for B.Tech, CUET is used for admission to other UG programs like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des at DTU.
