The campus is grand, with a number of amphitheatres, auditoriums, and event spaces. The management offers all the amenities that a student needs and more. All students have access to well-equipped labs, a library, and classrooms with an ideal learning environment.
The teachers are highly educated, knowledgeable individuals who take their jobs very seriously. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed. Throughout the theory classes, practicals, and placements, the professors are encouraging.
During the placement drive, 300 companies are invited to campus, and anyone genuinely looking for a good job has a chance to find one. Packages up to one crore are available, with the typical package costing 15.5 lakhs.
The balance between education and entertainment on campus is wonderful. The festivals and events are huge because different colleges compete in the competitions held by various societies, and artists perform on campus.
Based on my experience, the infrastructure of my college is good enough. A student can have good time in campus but because of old construction the class interior is outdated. All other safety measures had been done be it cyber or clg security.
Excellent professors with great experience are allotted in every single class. Yes, students sometimes face behaviour issues with faculty but everyone can not be perfect or be as we like them to be. So, yea I will say it's great with the faculty.
It depends on courses to courses in our college in some courses major placements are done while in some we have to go with outside campus but yes all of us get placements somehow. In Engineering almost 99% students get placements but I don't know about other courses much and about design we get good placements to buy for great one we have to go with off campus option.
The infrastructure is awesome. However it needs some changes somewhere. But overall it's all good. The new classrooms and new hostels are designed very well. Library is very well designed and is very attractive.
The academics of DTU are very good. Although the curriculum is a bit old but it's getting changed as new subjects are being introduced. The faculty is very well educated and quality of teaching is outstanding.
The placements of DTU is top class. The average package lies between 11-15 lpa. The average package for tech placements is 20 lpa. About all the students get placed. However some students go for higher studies and research.
College has a great infrastructure but it can definitely have some improvement. It has good classrooms, ample amount of book is available in libraries, sports complex is very large it has all sports(football, cricket, volleyball, lawn tennis, badminton, table tennis etc.). Wifi is present in every corner of campus but sometimes it does not provides great speed. Hostel has great culture hostels for different years make it a ragging free campus and the mess is also good.
I am studying B tech in Mechanical Engineering, I choose this because I was keen to learn the subject. The quality of teaching is great and the teachers of mechanical department are very helpful. The curriculum includes all the recent developments. The learning made in the class are are very useful and it helps greatly during placement season.
The placement statistics at college is good. By the end of placement season almost 80 percent of the students get job opportunity. Various companies arrive in college for placement and internships opportunity. The highest package offered (india) was 60lpa for atlassian. The average salary of students of tech brances is 15lpa and the average package for rest of the branches is 10lpa.
The value for money college provide is good, although when it comes about fees it is expected since being a government college it must have less college fees but annual fees for b tech is 2lakhs + . Although as the average package of the campus covers the entire fee spend during the course so it seems as a investment that we are making.
The campus is lush green, it has beautiful scenarios. There are various societies and clubs in the college which make the interaction with seniors great. It helps to learn great things and make campus life and engineering a complete life.

The placement cell is very good in bringing companies from all over the world. All the tier1 companies come in dtu to get highly skilled students and over them decent packages. Average salary offered in coe last year was 18 lpa and 14 lpa overall
The infrastructure of DTU is quite amazing. Although somewhere it needs a little modification in its infrastructure. The labs, libraries and classrooms are maintained in a good way. The campus is also constructed attractively.
DTU is quite good in academics. I am persuing B.Tech in Information Technology as DTU is one of the best engineering colleges of India. The quality of teaching is good. Although the curriculum is a bit old but its getting upgraded now.
DTU have outstanding placements. Almost all students get placed with high packages. The average package is about 11-15 lpa. The highest domestic package goes upto 64 lpa. The placement process is easy and placement cell is very helpful.
College infrastructure is really good since we have sufficient machines and inventory for required departments. For seminars we have big auditoriums and for other purposes like conferences we have 4 halls as well
We have around 22 dept. for engineering with sufficient professors and Each dept. headed by HoD's. The best part of our college that they don't pressurise students for academics since the study is not that tough but we do have constraint of 75%
Our college comes with 98% placement in current season. We have almost all major companies as recruiters like Google, Microsoft,Amazon, Apple as well as Indian comapnies like infosys , Wipro , TCS as mass recruiters.
85% Seat Allocation for Delhi Candidates : DTU reserves 85% of its seats across programs, including B.Tech, BBA, and MBA, for candidates who have completed their qualifying education—such as Class 12 for undergraduate courses or a Bachelor’s degree for MBA—from a recognized institution located in Delhi. Given that your schooling is from Delhi, you fulfill this criterion and are eligible for the Delhi quota. This reservation policy prioritizes you over out-of-state candidates, who compete for the remaining 15% of seats, thereby enhancing your chances of securing admission.
Validity of Caste Certificate from Haryana : Your caste certificate from Haryana is valid for claiming reservation benefits at DTU, provided it is issued by a competent authority and adheres to the Government of India’s guidelines for categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, or ST. DTU, as a state university, accepts caste certificates from other states for reservation purposes, so your certificate should not pose any issue, assuming it aligns with the category you’ve applied under. For instance, if applying under OBC-NCL, the certificate must be recent (typically issued within the last year) and reflect your status on the Central OBC list. The 85% Delhi quota is determined solely by your schooling location, not the state of issuance of your caste certificate, so this aspect does not impact your eligibility for the quota.
MBA-Specific Eligibility at DTU : If you are applying for DTU’s MBA program, the eligibility criteria include a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission typically requires a valid CAT score, followed by a counseling process or an interview. As a Delhi candidate, you fall under the 85% quota, and your caste certificate can be utilized to avail reservation benefits, potentially easing cutoff requirements or prioritizing your seat allocation.
Hello Aspirant,
If you are okay with any BTech branch and are open to a lot of other areas, then any branch at DTU is generally better than CSE at JSS. DTU (Delhi Technological University) has a good reputation, better campus, alumni network, and placement packages across branches, as well as internships and projects. Even if you don't get CSE at DTU, ECE, IT at DTU, or even mechanical can be good, and you would learn coding for example, or otherwise ease into this area through self-study coding platforms and internships.
If you are fully aware that you only want to do Computer Science and have a deep passion for programming from the start, then CSE at JSS can also be a decent option. However, overall DTU offers a better platform for your long-term career development and flexibility.
No, Delhi Technological University (DTU) does not use CUET for admissions to its B.Tech programs. DTU primarily relies on the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, with the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handling the process. CUET is used for admissions to other UG programs offered by DTU, such as BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.
Elaboration:
B.Tech Admissions:
DTU's B.Tech admissions are based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
JAC Delhi:
The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handles the counselling and seat allocation process for B.Tech programs at DTU, along with other participating institutions like Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-Delhi (IIIT-D), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
CUET for Other Programs:
While JEE Main is the primary entrance for B.Tech, CUET is used for admission to other UG programs like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des at DTU.
