Living spaces are clean. Food is not so great. It's very cheap, but it's not really tasty. Our college has amazing infrastructure (though it is very old). It has a huge sports complex with all necessary sports facilities and equipments
Overall, I would say that the quality of teaching at DTU is above average, with a good mix of talented and dedicated professors. One of the things that I appreciate about the curriculum at DTU is that it is regularly updated to include the latest developments in the field of electronics and communication engineering. This ensures that we are learning current and relevant information that will prepare us for success in our careers.
Placements on campuses are excellent. The most expensive package was Rs7CR per year. In my branch, ECE, , average package for the year 2021 was 15 LPA, which is quite great. Overall, the college is very supportive, and our placement process is easy. we even have a proper app (on playstore and app store) to help us in placement season.
DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (FORMERLY DCE), The college has a large and very good infrastructure including Big Classrooms (Air-Conditioned), Library (3- floored also Air-Conditioned),well maintained Laboratories, Hostels, Large area reserved for ground (also having inbuilt Indoor Area for games like Badminton, Table Tennis etc). The great infrastructure Makes a great Greenery view if seen from height.
I am pursuing my B.tech degree in Electrical Branch as I am quite interested in Electrical Machines such as Generators, Inverters etc. The faculty of DTU is very hard-working they provide best of their knowledge to help students. Also the curriculum is updated timely and includes all the recent developments in the field so that the students of every branch gets ready accordingly for their job interviews. Going through the curriculum helps students to be updated.
DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (FORMERLY DCE), is well known for its placements as it gives the best placement ever. As I am in my second year currently i have only heard and seen that seniors of Electrical branch are getting placed with a good package and also the placement ratio is quite good every year. In 2021-22 batch too 97%-97.5% were placed with an average package of 10-14 lacs per annum. Placements process includes short-listing accordiing to CGPA and then further rounds of Interviews.
DTU has same fee structure for each and every branch that costs roughly around 2.18 - 2.30 lacs per year which is approximately equals to 9 lacs for 4 years. If you are working hard then the best companies are waiting for you that's definitely worth it.
DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (FORMERLY DCE), is also well known for its Campus Life as some of the Socities of DTU (like @ECELL_DTU , @CC_DTU) gives the best experience to each and every student of the university by conducting the FESTS every year. Campus life includes joy as well as study, i must say faculty and staff is very helpful.
Delhi technological University is one of the best university when it comes to infrastructure a massive big campus, lots of greenery, lush green campus, classroom are well equipped with projector and air conditioner, food quality at canteen is also good and hygienic.
Im pursuing electrical engineering at DTU it a tough branch though, but teachers are always ready to help. Labs are well equipped with latest equipments. Course Structure is also latest and changes are done after every few years.
Placements are totally magical talking about 2022's placement 18 students got more than 1cr package. More than 400 students got 20lpa+ package. And highest package was 1.8cr in year 2022. Placement are awesome and around 97% students got placed overall in BTech.
it costs me around 2.2 lakhs per year. But it is worth you can get your money back within one year after placements.
Campus is big and have all the facilities, medical centre, bank, canteen, night canteen.
In one word if you make it to DTU then you don't need to worry about your future.
Talking about the infrastructure , the college has it all , proper laboratories , dedicated indoor sports complex , outdoor complex, separate department building . Campus is very clean , hostels are well maintained , college mess is hygenic.
I'm currently studying electrical engineering , Quality of teaching is good , professors are also quite ok. Curriculum also includes latest subjects etc. many projects are also run by professors about latest technologies.
The main thing why students prefer this college is it's placements . PLACEMENT here is very good . HIGHEST PACKAGE IS 1.3cr and average of all branches is 12 lpa and computer branch is 17 lpa. SO placements is very good.
Talking about the infrastructure, the college has it all. First coming to the departments, every department has its own seperate building. Sports facilities are just excellent, various hangout spots are there. In total, infrastructure wise 10 on 10
I am currently studying electrical engineering . Because there are only 2 fields which I think will be more big in coming years , computer and electric. Quality of teaching is quite good. Curriculum is a little bit old style but not fully. Latest projects are being organised. Hackathons etc. are organised.
Placement here is the main reason why people choose DTU. Almost everybody gets placed here. Average package is 14 lpa and highest (2021) was 1.3cr in Amazon Berlin. Almost all type of companies come and process of placement is "good" As told by the seniors. College placement cell is also supportive.
Excellent campus life for hostellers. For day scholars it obviously depends on your distance from the college.
Very nice college.
The Campus Life of DTU is very grateful and delightful due to its exciting and enjoyable environment. Everyday you experience new event.DTU annual cultural fest ENGIFEST is so exciting and occur in very large scale. People from all colleges in Delhi came to enjoy in DTU.Campus is so big and green around 165 acres.DTU has all types of societies/clubs which you want.Classrooms of DTU are also very good with some has ACs.
The college curriculum is not updated so long but this bitter truth is applicable for the majority of colleges not particular this and the faculty members are well qualified from reputed institution with maximum have masters or PhDs.They are very helpful as well.but their teaching methodology is very old.As an engeneering college boys over girls is somewhere around 6:1.
DTU's T&P cell coordinates the placement process very efficiently and smoothly all the big companies like Google, Microsoft,Facebook, Goldman Sachs, and Whatever you know the name or whatever you don't know, that too comes in Campus and give us tremendous opportunities. This College has average package is somewhere around 8 lakhs per annum.
Good College with excellent placements and mind-blowing campus life.
The college has all the facilities with well maintained infrastructure and campus large enough for everyone. Living space are maintained and college is equipped with high speed wifi and well maintained labs.
The curriculum is well structured and updated quite often with new developments every once in awhile and the faculty is great with all kinds of facility and other required knowledge. Also most of the professors are PhD holders from foreign universities.
The placements are truly the biggest benifit of this college and the minimum salary package for dtu is around 7 lakhs PA and the college is truly supportive in every case.the college provides training regarding the placements and many webinar and sessions for the enhancement of student in every way possible
Yes it is value for money as it is cheaper in comparison to the other colleges offering same courses although it still high but by comparing the facilities and placements it's worth it.
Campus life is great the staff is truly supportive and we are free to move at any place without any problems and cultural activities are quite often with loads of clubs to choose from.
college has all the necessary infrastructure like smart boards , excellent wifi , well equipped laboratories ..sports complex is also big containing all the necessary tracks like football ,cricket and indoor sports also like tt and badminton
currently i am pursuing mathematics and computing engineering and i am in my 2nd year of course . my experience till now is very good . college has all the experienced faculties and they are very helpful ..
college is excellent in terms of placements .. a large number of companies visit the campus for placements and internships including tech giants like google , microsoft, atlassian and many more ..college has a very good track record in terms of placements
currently in my second year the total fee amount is 2.16 lakh which is a bit higher but it is worth it for a prestigious college like delhi technological university ..compared to private colleges it is not much
campus life is just awesome ..the campus is very big and the best part is DTU is very chill in terms of discipline and all these things . students engage in many activities like coding , cultural activities and sports also
I like all facilities of our college where we have air conditioned library with fully equipped wifi in the entire campus. The lush green campus is of 150 acres with hygienic maintenance and good food facilities.
The professors are extremely helpful and experienced. But the curriculum is too old.Teachers help us to get things understandable by practical knowledge and guide us the path for success be it in research or in higher studies
We have good placements stats with highest package crossing 1 cr.Many of our seniors are placed at adobe, apple, microsoft, google and sprinklr.Avg package for our college is 12 lac.Professors are less supportive in terms when a core branch student wants to prepare for tech job
I think they should open some electives for core branch students who want to go for tech jobs
It's one of the best college in terms of placement, college life, fests and we have so many opportunities here.
All the necessary facilities are present. Sports complex, library, gym, labs etc are well maintained. The food in the canteen is healthy, tasty and not very expensive. Cafeteria, juice shop and a night canteen are also present.
The teachers are very experienced, kowledgeable and helpful. The curriculum is a little old for today's day and age. In addition to that, there is a long list of foundation elective subjects to choose from.
From our seniors, we have heard that the placement record of the college is outstanding. In mathematics and computing, aalmot all the students get placed in some company or the other. For core branches, the placement record is not that good.
Btech costs around 2 lakhs per year, which i think is on the expensive side.
The campus is beautiful with greenery all around. There is a wide range of societies present. You will surely find at least one society matching your interests. The students are mostly friendly and relaxed.
Overall, this is a very good college with loads of opportunities in different fields.
85% Seat Allocation for Delhi Candidates : DTU reserves 85% of its seats across programs, including B.Tech, BBA, and MBA, for candidates who have completed their qualifying education—such as Class 12 for undergraduate courses or a Bachelor’s degree for MBA—from a recognized institution located in Delhi. Given that your schooling is from Delhi, you fulfill this criterion and are eligible for the Delhi quota. This reservation policy prioritizes you over out-of-state candidates, who compete for the remaining 15% of seats, thereby enhancing your chances of securing admission.
Validity of Caste Certificate from Haryana : Your caste certificate from Haryana is valid for claiming reservation benefits at DTU, provided it is issued by a competent authority and adheres to the Government of India’s guidelines for categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, or ST. DTU, as a state university, accepts caste certificates from other states for reservation purposes, so your certificate should not pose any issue, assuming it aligns with the category you’ve applied under. For instance, if applying under OBC-NCL, the certificate must be recent (typically issued within the last year) and reflect your status on the Central OBC list. The 85% Delhi quota is determined solely by your schooling location, not the state of issuance of your caste certificate, so this aspect does not impact your eligibility for the quota.
MBA-Specific Eligibility at DTU : If you are applying for DTU’s MBA program, the eligibility criteria include a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission typically requires a valid CAT score, followed by a counseling process or an interview. As a Delhi candidate, you fall under the 85% quota, and your caste certificate can be utilized to avail reservation benefits, potentially easing cutoff requirements or prioritizing your seat allocation.
Hello Aspirant,
If you are okay with any BTech branch and are open to a lot of other areas, then any branch at DTU is generally better than CSE at JSS. DTU (Delhi Technological University) has a good reputation, better campus, alumni network, and placement packages across branches, as well as internships and projects. Even if you don't get CSE at DTU, ECE, IT at DTU, or even mechanical can be good, and you would learn coding for example, or otherwise ease into this area through self-study coding platforms and internships.
If you are fully aware that you only want to do Computer Science and have a deep passion for programming from the start, then CSE at JSS can also be a decent option. However, overall DTU offers a better platform for your long-term career development and flexibility.
No, Delhi Technological University (DTU) does not use CUET for admissions to its B.Tech programs. DTU primarily relies on the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, with the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handling the process. CUET is used for admissions to other UG programs offered by DTU, such as BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.
Elaboration:
B.Tech Admissions:
DTU's B.Tech admissions are based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
JAC Delhi:
The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handles the counselling and seat allocation process for B.Tech programs at DTU, along with other participating institutions like Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-Delhi (IIIT-D), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
CUET for Other Programs:
While JEE Main is the primary entrance for B.Tech, CUET is used for admission to other UG programs like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des at DTU.
