Hi aspirant,

The cutoff marks varies every year it depends upon number of candidates, number of average seats and difficulties of question paper.

According to previous years cutoff. Yo u need to score at least 150 to 200 marks to get admission in BHU if you belong to OBC category. With 110 marks it seems little difficult to get admission in BHU.

Hope this information will help you.

Best of luck.

Greetings! When it comes to All India Ranking, IIT BHU stands first with a rank of 11. It is also a highly popular institute when compared to IIT Jammu, with high records of placements. When coming to the courses, Chemical Engineering has a better scope when compared to Mining.

It depends on your interest. it's your career, so be careful and focused when you choose your stream. IIT BHU is better in terms of academics and placements but the course you have got isn't better than Chemical Engineering.

Kindly choose the area of your interest.

All the best!

Hey aspirant,

Congratulations for scoring so well in BHU UET!

BHU is one of the well renowned Colleges that set up its cut offs really high. But your category score and rank which you have acquired are enough to get you an admission in BHU for Maths hons.

Last year's OBC cut off rank for maths hons. was 707 and cut off score was 165.

Although cut offs may vary slightly year to year but your chances of admission are quite high.

Hope this helps,

All the best!

Future of ceramic engineering in iit bhu is good . Because this year around 98%of student get placed . Highest salaryoffer by bhu is 21 lpa while lowest is 10 lpa . Majorly non core placement are offered in ceramic engineering branch . Getting internship  is easy if you have a good cgpa. People also go for higher studies or in a research sector also so getting a degree from bhu is also a achievement.

Hi Chinmay,

First of all I want to mention that for getting into B.Arch into any of the IITs you have to qualify JEE Advance along with AAT Exam.

Now, coming on to the preferred IIT in B.Arch stream I would probably rate IIT KHARAGPUR first, then IIT Roorkee and finally IIT BHU based on their placements and on their respective NIRF 2020 Rankings.

I hope that you have now got a fair idea of the colleges, but at the same time you also have to work very hard for getting into these IITs. Wish you all the best for your Preparations!!

Hello Aspirant,

IIT BHU is ranked 11 by NIRF in the year 2019,Mechanical Department came into existence in the year 1919.In the year of 2019 100% students in the branch of Mechanical Engineering took place with highest placement of around 24 LPA and about 7 LPA on an average.Which is really good considering the said branch. However the sad part is placement in core of the said branch is not good and most of the M.E get placed in IT.But this ratio is different in IITs.Overall Mechanical  Engineering is good at IIT BHU.Some core companies visiting are Maruti Suzuki,TATA etc. You can check things in details with the help of the link mentioned below-

Hope this will help you solve your issue

Hello aspirant ,
According to my research these all IIT are among the best IIT's so giving preference to the branch I think ECE at IIT bhu will be the best option to go with as it's is one of the top branch after CSE and IT.

You can also predict your future college on basis of jee main score using the link given below-

I hope this helps.
Regards
Madhur

IIT Roorkee ECE is obviously much better than IIT BHU CSE, on most of the aspects be it Infrastructure, Outlook, Faculty and Research Facilities. As far as IITR is concerned you should not have any doubt regarding the Placement Prospects. IITR blooms with career prospects and opportunities with some of the major core companies for ECE include Intel, Applied Materials, Microsoft, Google, Texas Instruments, Nvidia, Samsung ,etc. Even if you are dead interested in CSE, you always get 2 chances at IITR to change your branch, which is unlike in other top 8 IITs. So decide wisely.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of this IIT needs to be improved as far as other IITS are concerned. We will find decent hostels situated on campus. It also has its own mess, which provides decent food. Classrooms are also well-equipped with modern facilities. Here, the library has very limited capacity so it needs to be expanded.
