As per the official site IIIT Delhi don't have a lateral Entry in Btech Mechanical. Following are the courses they have:

BTech is offered in the following disciplines
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Computer Science and Applied Mathematics (CSAM), Computer Science and Design (CSD), Computer Science and Social Science (CSSS), Computer Science and Biosciences (CSB), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence(CSAI)

IIIT Delhi offers

Fee Waiver Scheme for B.Tech course. Income linked fee waiver scheme is for Delhi students only.
Criteria is as follows:

Parents are in the Below Poverty Line Category- 100 % Fee Waiver

Gross Income of parents in service is up to Rs.6.0 Lakh p.a. (Rs 3.60 Lakh p.a. for those having business income) and last school fee paid is less than Rs.0.45 Lakh p.a.- 50% Fee Waiver

Gross Income of parents in service is between Rs.6.0 Lakh and Rs.8.0 lakh p.a. (Rs.4.80 Lakh  p.a.  for  those  having  business  income)  and  last school fee paid is less than Rs.0.60 Lakh p.a.- 25 % Fee Waiver

Hello Abhishek, Yes, there are a couple more pathways for admission in JEE Mains, you can take admission through UCEED rank but this is only for delhi students. Then you can also take admission on the basis of 12th class marks but this is only for those who are only non-science Delhi students. Both of these categories have 22 seats reserved for each of them.

If you will score 360/360 then also you can't IITD because IIT's does not accepts JEE mains score they demand a good score in JEE advance .

So, if your score in mains is 150 then also you can get IITD, condition you have to get under 500 rank in JEE advanced.

Sorry to misinterpret IIITD with IITD. With the Introduction  of new pattern you must get a rank under 10k. As you know the cutoff changes every year but a rank under 8.5 to 9.k can fetch you IIITD. Also there is CSAB so you can give a try.

Based on the rank you have secured and the category you belong to, you might have a chances to make it into the IIITD. Therefore you need not worry about it. Nothing is certain until the actual cut off is released. Keep trying through various counselling sessions.
