Eligibility for bsc geology in jadavpur university is provided below :

You should have passed 10+2 Examination from any recognized Board in Science with Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and securing at least 75% marks in average obtained in Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics

For obc category , minimum requirement of marks is 67.5% in average obtained in the above mentioned three subjects.
While in case of SC/ST/PD/Sports category, minimum requirement of marksis 56.25% .

Admission process:- Admission is offered on the basis of marks obtained by you in the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination. There will be no Admission Test for admission in bsc courses

Registration for bsc courses including bsc geology will start :- First week of June 2020
Last date of registration :- Second week of June 2020

Jadavpur University don't accept JEE mains rank for their B.tech degree admission . Admission of B.tech courses in Jadavpur University occur through WBJEE counseling . WBJEE is joint entrance exam of West Bengal . You should have top 1000 rank in WBJEE to ensure your b.tech admission in Jadavpur University . can I enroll in a nit if I get only 78.8 percentile in JEE main?

Hello student you can calculate and get your rank easily by using this formula.
100 - (your total percentile) 869010 /100.
In your case your rank must be around 184,230
Predicting exact cut off is difficult as it depends on various factors like the level of question in the entrance examination and total number of applicants in that examination. But with last year records its tough to get admission in any nit with this percentile.

Please help me with your category and domicile so I can provide you exact information.
Application for jee main April examination starts from 07th of February and shall remain open till 07th of March 2020. If you want to appear fill the form before the last date.

Jadavpur University is a State University of West Bengal and thus the admission is done through WBJEE, Jadavpur university doesn’t take admissions through Jee Mains.

So, if you want to get into Jadavpur, first sit for WBJEE.

To get into JU, you need to get a rank under 1500, If you are going for Electronics, CSE, Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation etc., then you need a very decent score, your rank should be under 600–700. But, if you want to get in IT, Power, Printing, Construction -etc then scoring under 1200–1500 will be enough.

Hello .
Yes ,you can have admission in jadavpur University on the basis of your WBJEE score but if you are in BTech first year from other University then after having admission you will have to again start from B Tech 1st year in jadavpur University, for Computer Science and Engineering branch you need to have marks under 175 to 185.

I'll recommend you to go for IISER over Jadhavpur university. Moreover i'll recommend you to join IISER Kolkata as It is the best in physics among all IISERs. Also The faculty at IISER Kolkata is excellent and almost all branches of physics are covered there. So without thinking much you must definitely go for IISER .

IN WBJEE 2019 FOR OBC-B TO GET ADMISSION INTO JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY IN THE BRANCH ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING THE OPENING RANK WAS 750 AND CLOSING RANK WAS 1161. THE RANKS MENTIONED HERE ARE WHAT RANK GMR OR CATEGORY RANK FOR OBC-B?

College Infrastructure

The Jadavpur University has quite old buildings. But, it has a central library with separate libraries in each department. It has 4-5 canteens at different points in the campus. It also has an Open air theatre, A gym, and a basketball court adjacent to the main ground.

My experience at Jadavpur University was great.

College Infrastructure

The university still uses alot of buildings that are way too old and they are maintained very rarely. But, few new buildings have been built recently which is a good thing. There is a lack of adequate labs for example in my department (Economics) there is no sufficient facility. There is also lack of ACs in the classrooms.

Very nice experience.

Our University has very good infrastructure. But a little bit old fashioned. But our department has many laboratories such as APPLIED MECHANOCS LAB, HEAT POWER LAB, HYDRAULICS LAB, FITTING SHOP, CARPENTRY SHOP, BLUE EARTH MACHINE SHOP, FOUNDRY SHOP, FORGING SHOP. We also have two computer labs in our department.
